Moyie Lake Provincial Park is a scenic 90.5-hectare park located approximately 20 kilometres south of Cranbrook in British Columbia's Kootenay region, easily accessible via Highway 3/95. Nestled on the lower eastern slopes of the Purcell Mountains, the park surrounds a glacially formed kettle lake and features 1,300 metres of developed sandy beach backed by open grassy areas. The 111-site campground offers a strong set of amenities including hot showers, picnic tables, a water hookup, dump station, boat launch, firewood, and an adventure playground — making it a well-equipped destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Visitors enjoy swimming, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, and sailing on the lake, while anglers can target kokanee and burbot. Two interpretive nature trails — the Kettle Pond Trail and Meadow Trail — wind through diverse forest ecosystems home to beaver, muskrat, whitetail deer, and a variety of waterfowl. The park's mixed forest of larch, Douglas fir, and lodgepole pine provides a beautiful backdrop throughout the seasons. Moyie Lake Provincial Park is an ideal base camp for exploring the East Kootenays and the greater Cranbrook area.
