Campgrounds and RV parks near Petrolia, ON

Family activity centres on the water and the town itself. Lake Huron beaches at Grand Bend and Ipperwash are within an hour, and the St. Clair River corridor between Sarnia and Sombra offers boat launches, cycling paths, and small waterfront parks. Paradise Valley Campground and Lakewood Christian Campground both lean family-focused, with on-site amenities that keep kids busy close to camp. In town, Victoria Park hosts community events, and Victoria Hall houses the Victoria Playhouse theatre through the warm-weather season. For the entire summer from mid-May to mid-September, Victoria Playhouse Petrolia brings in six shows, plus it books performances throughout the year. Oil heritage sites at Petrolia Discovery and neighbouring Oil Springs give kids a rainy-day option, and Lambton County's flat rural roads are well suited to cycling.
