Carl G. Washburne Memorial State Park campground sits along the central Oregon Coast, just north of Florence within the Siuslaw National Forest. Nestled on the east side of Highway 101 and buffered by native trees, the park offers a secluded, forested atmosphere just steps from miles of sandy Pacific beach.
The campground accommodates a range of camping styles with 50 full-hookup RV sites (electric, water, and sewer), 5 electrical sites with water, walk-in tent sites, a hiker/biker camp, and two yurts—one of which is pet-friendly. Full amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, firewood sales, picnic tables, grills, and an RV dump station.
Outdoor adventures abound throughout the park. The Hobbit Trail offers a scenic half-mile descent to the beach, while the Valley Trail connects multiple routes through the forest. The 6-mile round-trip Heceta Head Trail leads to one of Oregon's most photographed lighthouses. The campground also sits along the Oregon Coast Trail, making it a popular stop for backpackers, and agate hunting along the shoreline is a local favorite.
Located roughly 10 miles south of Cape Perpetua and near Heceta Head Lighthouse, Carl G. Washburne Memorial State Park is a premier Oregon Coast camping destination for RV travelers, hikers, and beach lovers alike.
