The trailer was great: super clean, good storage, excellent hot water. Had no trouble towing this with our Lexus GX470. Alex is incredibly responsive and supportive. They outfitted the trailer with very helpful items like sheets, towels, kitchen and bathroom items. Great experience.

When we arrived to pick up trailer it was all setup for our walk through and inspection. David walked us through all the features and proper use and setup for trailer.. Communication was easy and Kari was great at answering any questions. All the little things you might need or forget to pack were already stocked. We had a wonderful Annivesary vacation experience at the Oregon coast. Kari's trailer gave a new and fun way for my wife and I and our dog to enjoy a vacation together. Thank you so much for the experience and the use of your trailer. Definitely a 5 star host and as my wife called it a very fun "Glamping trip" everything we needed and our own mobile hotel room. Thank you Kari & David.

Although there was some small issues, they were resolved fairly, and easily. Issues can come up anytime, with any item. The way they get handled I think is what's important. I would recommend this host and not hesitate to do business again should the need arise.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Seaside, OR

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Seaside, OR?

RV rental in Seaside is one of the most affordable ways to enjoy the Oregon Coast, with most rentals on RVezy ranging from about $95 to $250 per night depending on the RV type and season. Compact campervans and travel trailers sit on the lower end, while larger Class C motorhomes that sleep families of six trend higher. To find a cheap RV rental in Seaside, aim for shoulder months like late April, May, or October when nightly rates often drop compared to peak July and August. Pro tip: weeknight stays at Thousand Trails Seaside RV Resort are typically cheaper than weekends, so a Sunday through Thursday trip stretches your budget further.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Seaside?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Seaside, OR, even for a larger Class A or fifth wheel. Oregon does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for personal-use RVs, so your standard license works for every rig on RVezy. Approved drivers are generally required to be at least 25 years old, and RVezy verifies your ID right through the platform during booking. Visiting from outside the US? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home country's auto association along with your home license. That is genuinely all the paperwork most first-time renters need for an Oregon Coast adventure.

What protection is included when I rent an RV in Seaside, OR?

Every RV rental in Seaside booked through RVezy comes with a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance included, so you can focus on the beach instead of the what-ifs. The protection plan helps cover physical damage to the RV during your trip, and you choose the level of coverage that fits your comfort zone during checkout, not the host. Coverage levels vary, so reviewing the options at booking helps you start your Oregon Coast RV trip with confidence. Pro tip: compare the protection tiers carefully at checkout so you know exactly what is included before you hit Highway 26.

What if I need to cancel my Seaside RV trip?

You have flexibility, and that is the whole point. RVezy sets the cancellation policy platform-wide (not individual hosts), so you do not need to compare cancellation terms between listings. If something unexpected happens closer to your trip, like a Pacific storm closing Highway 26 or a family emergency, RVezy's support team can review the situation directly. If a host cancels on you, RVezy will refund you or provide credits toward a rebooking. Pro tip: book early to secure the best Seaside RVs during summer, and review the cancellation policy details at checkout so you know your options if plans change.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Seaside?

Absolutely, the Oregon Coast is one of the most dog-loving stretches of beach in the country, and pet-friendly RV rental in Seaside is easy to find on RVezy. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter when browsing listings, and you will see RVs whose owners welcome dogs (some accept cats and other pets too). Seaside's main beach allows leashed dogs year-round, and the Promenade is a favorite morning walk for furry travelers. Just south, Cannon Beach is famously off-leash friendly under voice control. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm pet size or breed details, and ask about their favorite local dog-friendly spots while you are at it.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground in Seaside?

Yes, RV delivery in Seaside is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers who would rather skip driving a big rig down Highway 101. Many hosts will deliver and set up your motorhome or travel trailer directly at Thousand Trails Seaside RV Resort, Circle Creek RV Park, or a site at Fort Stevens State Park about 20 minutes north. They will level it, hook up power and water, walk you through every system, and pick it back up at the end of your trip. Pro tip: filter by Delivery on RVezy and message hosts about delivery fees to your chosen campground, which usually scale with distance from their home base.

How far can I drive on a Seaside RV trip, and how does mileage work?

You can roam the whole north Oregon Coast and beyond. Each RVezy host sets their own mileage policy, and many Seaside-area listings include a generous daily allowance, while some offer an RV rental with unlimited mileage, which is perfect for longer loops. From Seaside, it is about 9 miles south to Cannon Beach, 18 miles north to Astoria, 45 miles south to Tillamook, and about 80 miles east to Portland. A Highway 101 run all the way to Newport is roughly 130 miles each way. Pro tip: check the mileage section of each listing before booking, and ask the host directly if your itinerary needs a custom package.

Where can I park or camp an RV in Seaside, OR?

Seaside has a great mix of full-hookup RV parks within a short drive of the beach and the Promenade. Popular options include Thousand Trails Seaside RV Resort, Circle Creek RV Park just south on Highway 101, and Venice RV Park near the river. For state-park camping, Fort Stevens State Park (about 20 minutes north) offers hundreds of sites with hookups near the historic Peter Iredale shipwreck. Overnight parking on Seaside city streets and at the beach is not permitted, so book a campground in advance. Pro tip: reserve summer weekends 4 to 6 months ahead, they sell out fast.

When is the best time of year for RV camping in Seaside?

Seaside is a true year-round destination, but the sweet spot for most RV travelers is July through early September, when daytime highs typically sit in the comfortable 65 to 72 degrees F range and rainfall is at its lowest. June can still be drizzly (locals call it Junuary), while September often delivers some of the clearest, warmest beach days of the year. Spring and fall bring storm-watching, dramatic surf, and cool days that pair perfectly with a heated RV. Winter lows rarely dip below freezing at sea level, so RV camping in Seaside stays accessible all year. Pro tip: aim for the second or third week of September for warm sun, lighter crowds, and easier campground reservations.

I have never rented an RV before, what should I expect?

First time renting an RV? You are going to be in great hands. Every RVezy host gives a full walkthrough at pickup (or at delivery), covering propane, fresh water, gray and black tanks, the generator, slide-outs, and how to level the rig. You can also message your host through the app for the entire trip if a question comes up at your Seaside campsite at 9 p.m. Many Seaside-area hosts specialize in beginner-friendly Class C motorhomes and travel trailers because the Oregon Coast draws so many first-time families. Pro tip: ask your host for a quick cheat sheet on dumping tanks at Fort Stevens or Thousand Trails Seaside, those are the easiest dump stations within 20 minutes of town.

What happens if something goes wrong with the RV during my trip?

You are never stranded. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so help is one phone call away whether you have a flat tire on Highway 26 over the Coast Range, a dead battery in a Seaside RV park, or you lock yourself out at Cannon Beach. For mechanical or systems questions, your host is your first text, and most respond within minutes. RVezy's support team is also available before, during, and after every trip. Pro tip: save the roadside number and your host's contact in your phone before you leave the driveway, cell service can get spotty along the more remote stretches of Highway 101 south of Manzanita.

What are the best road trip destinations from Seaside?

An RV road trip from Seaside opens up some of the Pacific Northwest's best scenery. Top runs include Astoria and Fort Stevens State Park (about 18 miles north, 25 minutes) for the historic sites and the Peter Iredale shipwreck; Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock (9 miles south, 15 minutes); Tillamook Creamery and Cape Lookout State Park (45 to 70 miles south, 1 to 1.5 hours); Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument (about 130 miles, 2.5 hours); and Portland (80 miles east, 1.5 hours). Cross-state travel into Washington is allowed by most hosts on RVezy, but travel to Mexico is not covered. Pro tip: confirm any cross-border or interstate plans with your host before booking so insurance and mileage are squared away.

How much should I budget for fuel on an Oregon Coast RV trip?

Fuel is usually the biggest variable on a Seaside RV trip, so a quick math hack helps. Most Class C motorhomes in the area get 8 to 10 miles per gallon, campervans and small Class B rigs get 16 to 20 mpg, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (typically 10 to 14 mpg loaded). Oregon gas prices tend to run a bit above the national average. A 200-mile loop from Seaside down to Tillamook and back in a Class C will run roughly 20 to 25 gallons of fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Warrenton or Astoria where stations are larger and easier for big rigs than the tight pumps right in downtown Seaside.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Seaside?

For summer (mid-June through Labor Day), book your campground 4 to 6 months ahead, the Oregon Coast is no secret. Oregon State Parks like Fort Stevens and Nehalem Bay use the official Oregon State Parks reservation system, which opens bookings on a 6-month rolling window from your arrival date, so set a calendar reminder for exactly 6 months out. Private parks like Thousand Trails Seaside, Circle Creek, and Venice RV Park book directly through their own websites and tend to fill 2 to 3 months ahead for summer weekends. Pro tip: shoulder season (May, late September, early October) often has same-week availability, ideal for a spontaneous Seaside RV getaway.

What is driving an RV around Seaside actually like?

Driving conditions around Seaside are very RV-friendly. Highway 101 through town is two lanes with low speed limits (25 to 35 mph in the city), and US Highway 26 connecting Seaside to Portland is a well-maintained route with one moderate climb over the Coast Range. Coastal fog is common in early mornings May through August, and winter brings wind gusts and occasional sneaker-wave warnings along the beach, so check TripCheck before any big driving day. Avoid trying to drive a large Class A through downtown Cannon Beach, the streets are narrow. Pro tip: most Seaside RV parks are accessed from US 101 just before or after downtown, so no tight downtown navigation is required.

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Seaside?

Most RV parks within 10 miles of Seaside offer full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, and sewer at the site), Wi-Fi, hot showers, laundry, and dump stations. Thousand Trails Seaside RV Resort adds resort-style amenities like a pool and recreation areas. State park campgrounds like Fort Stevens have flush toilets, showers, and a central dump station, but Wi-Fi can be spotty. If you need to dump tanks mid-trip, Fort Stevens State Park and Thousand Trails Seaside both offer dump stations, and potable water fill-ups are easy at any full-hookup site. Pro tip: book a pull-through site if you are new to backing up a trailer, Circle Creek RV Park south of town has plenty of long, level pull-throughs.
stateparks.oregon.gov/index.cfm?do=park.profile&parkId=129

What is inside a typical RV rental in Seaside?

Most motorhome rentals in Seaside come fully equipped for the Oregon Coast: a queen or king bed, bunks or convertible dinettes for the kids, a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, and sink, a bathroom with shower and toilet, heat, and seatbelted seats for travel. Class C motorhomes typically sleep 4 to 7, campervans (Class B) sleep 2 to 4, and travel trailers stretch from cozy 16-foot teardrops up to 35-foot bunkhouses. Many include a generator, awning, outdoor speakers, and even a smart TV with streaming. Pro tip: when comparing a campervan rental in Seaside to a larger motorhome rental in Seaside, think about how many people need a real bed at the same time, that single factor usually decides the right RV.

What add-ons and pickup options can I choose from?

Hosts on RVezy offer a great menu of add-ons to make your Seaside trip easier. Common options include bedding and linen packages, kitchen kits, camp chairs and outdoor mats, bikes or kayaks (perfect for paddling Neawanna Creek), portable Wi-Fi hotspots, generators, and pet packages. Pickup is usually at the host's home, often in the Portland metro or right on the coast, with delivery available from many Seaside hosts directly to your campground. Mileage policies vary by listing, with daily allowances commonly between 100 and 200 miles, and some offering unlimited. Pro tip: bundle delivery, setup, and a linen package on your first booking, the small extra cost saves hours of prep and lets you start your Oregon Coast vacation the moment you arrive.

How do payments and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy directly with a credit card at booking, not in cash to the host. A security deposit hold is placed separately from your booking payment (the exact amount varies by RV and is shown clearly on the listing), and it is released after your return as long as the RV comes back in the same condition. The deposit helps cover things like excess cleaning or minor damage outside the protection plan's scope. Pro tip: take date-stamped photos and a quick video of the interior and exterior at pickup and again at drop-off in Seaside, it is the easiest way to make sure your deposit comes back without any back-and-forth.
