Anthony’s 12’ GeoPro trailer was a great rental experience. It was easy to connect and disconnect, which made pickup and drop-off simple and stress-free. The trailer had everything we needed, including a table, chairs, bedding, cookware, cutlery, and place settings. The kitchen was a huge bonus and made the trip much more comfortable. Overall, it was well-equipped, easy to use, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.

I took my 16 year old son and 2 adult friends to there first NFL game and to watch our Oilers in Seattle in late November. Dave's RV was the perfect accommodation for the 3 days! What was awesome was the communication with Dave prior to the rental. He answered all questions and concerns in a timely fashion. In this day and age where customer service seems to be almost no existent Dave went above and beyond. Dave went through the pre trip check with me and my son and that interaction showed he cared about us having a positive experience. With any type of rental things could go wrong, nothing did for us, but I felt reassured Dave would be there if anything did, peace of mind! RV was just what we needed for this trip. Thanks again Dave!!

Inside Mount Rainier National Park, Cougar Rock and Ohanapecosh accept many RVs, though length limits vary by loop, so check Recreation.gov before booking. Reserve Washington State Parks through parks.wa.gov as early as possible for peak summer dates.

When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Bonney Lake?

The sweet spot for RV camping near Bonney Lake is late June through mid-September, when daytime highs typically range from the upper 60s to low 80s and Mt. Rainier's Sunrise and Paradise areas are generally snow-free. July and August are peak season with the famous wildflower bloom in the subalpine meadows. May and September are smart shoulder-season choices, with fewer crowds and lower nightly rates. October can bring vivid fall color along the Mather Memorial Parkway. Winters in Bonney Lake itself are mild, but expect snow at higher elevations, so chains are wise from November through March. Book early for July weekends, since popular sites fill quickly.

I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay renting in Bonney Lake?

Yes, first-time renters do well in Bonney Lake. Every RVezy host provides a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering driving, leveling, propane, water systems, and dumping, and you can message them throughout your trip with questions. If it is your first time renting an RV, consider starting with a travel trailer or a 24-foot Class C, which handles much like a large van. The main routes around Bonney Lake, including SR 410 and SR 167, are wide and well-marked, and you can practice in a large parking lot before heading toward Mt. Rainier. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Popular interstate routes include the Oregon Coast via I-5 to US-101, Glacier National Park via I-90 east, and Coeur d'Alene in the Idaho panhandle. What kind of fuel mileage should I budget for from Bonney Lake?

Fuel is one of the biggest variable costs on an RV trip. Most Class C motorhomes get about 8 to 12 miles per gallon, Class B campervans typically 16 to 20 mpg, and a tow vehicle pulling a travel trailer averages around 10 to 14 mpg. Washington gas prices usually run higher than the U.S. average, so check current prices before your trip to budget accurately. A round trip from Bonney Lake to Mt. Rainier's Paradise area (around 130 miles total) burns roughly 12 to 15 gallons in a typical Class C. Fill up in town before heading into the mountains, since fuel options become limited and pricier at higher elevations.

How far in advance should I book campgrounds near Bonney Lake?

Mount Rainier National Park campgrounds like Cougar Rock and Ohanapecosh book through Recreation.gov on a 6-month rolling window, with peak July and August dates filling within minutes. Private parks around Enumclaw and South Prairie tend to be more flexible but still fill 1 to 2 months out for peak season. Set a calendar reminder for the exact opening date and have your dates, rig length, and payment ready when reservations release.

Heading east toward Mt. Rainier, Chinook Pass on SR 410 climbs to about 5,430 feet with switchbacks and typically closes in late fall and reopens in late spring, with Cayuse Pass on a similar schedule. Winter can bring snow and ice, especially at higher elevations, so check WSDOT mountain pass reports before heading out. Avoid driving an RV through downtown Seattle; loop via I-405 or SR 167 instead. Watch for elk near Greenwater at dawn and dusk.

Can I rent an RV in Bonney Lake during winter for a snow adventure?

Yes, winter RV rentals are available in Bonney Lake, and several hosts keep their rigs available year-round with four-season packages. Look for RVs with heated holding tanks, enclosed underbellies, and reliable propane furnaces to stay comfortable when overnight temperatures drop into the 20s and 30s. Crystal Mountain Resort (about 60 miles east) and White Pass Ski Area (about 90 miles south) are popular winter destinations, and Paradise at Mt. Rainier is accessible via the year-round Nisqually entrance for snowshoeing. Carry tire chains, since they are commonly required on Cascade passes from November through April. Always check WSDOT mountain pass reports before heading out.
