2020 Grand Design Travel Trailer
Quick responses, nice trailer, overall good experience. When arriving found the trailer unlevel enough my daughters had a hard time walking around inside. Was told the ground is un level where we were staying, but i know that if the grounds un level the trailer should be set on blocks and wheels locked to make it level. The ac dropped right in front of the awning and the door due to it being so un level as well. The outdoor burners were not hooked up for the outdoor kitchen. Great space inside, very clean and everything worked. the stability was also rocky due to the fact two of the stabilizer arms on one side were both broken. 4/5 as the issues i had should be easily fixable and could of made it a 5/5

What license do I need to rent an RV in Naches?

Great news: a standard driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Naches, WA. Washington State does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special RV endorsement for the motorhomes and travel trailers on RVezy, even for big Class A coaches. You'll just need to be 25 or older and upload a clear photo of your license so RVezy can verify your ID through the platform before pickup. Visiting from outside the United States? What happens if I need to cancel my Naches RV rental?

You can book with confidence because RVezy, not the individual host, sets the cancellation policy for every rental in Naches. There is a money-back grace period right after booking, and refund eligibility after that depends on how far out you are from your trip start date. If a host cancels, RVezy refunds the guest or provides credits. Because Naches sits in a wildfire-prone corridor of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, extraordinary circumstances may also be considered. The full, current cancellation terms live in the RVezy Help Center so you always get the most up-to-date information.

Yes, first time renting an RV in Naches is genuinely manageable, and your host is your secret weapon. Every RVezy host provides a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through the generator, slide-outs, leveling jacks, water systems, and dashboard before you drive away. Naches itself sits in a wide river valley with gentle, straight roads on US 12 and State Route 410 east of the passes, ideal for building confidence before you tackle Chinook Pass. You can also message the host through the listing before booking with any nervous questions. Pro tip: pick up your RV in the morning so you can practice in daylight, and choose a Class C motorhome, the most beginner-friendly type on the platform.

Can I take my Naches RV rental on a road trip to other states or Canada?

Yes, an RV road trip from Naches can absolutely cross state lines, and many hosts welcome travel into Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and beyond. Popular routes include Naches to Crater Lake National Park (about 360 miles south), the Oregon Coast via the Columbia River Gorge, and Glacier National Park (around 480 miles northeast). Cross-border travel into Canada is allowed by some hosts depending on their insurance, so message the host before booking to confirm and ask about any added documentation. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because insurance coverage does not extend south of the border. Pro tip: ask the host for their preferred fuel stops on long-haul routes.
cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/know-before-you-go/your-trip

What kind of fuel mileage and budget should I plan for?

Plan smart and you'll keep your Naches RV trip well within budget. Class B campervans typically get 18 to 22 mpg, Class C motorhomes about 10 to 14 mpg, and Class A coaches around 7 to 10 mpg, while tow vehicles with travel trailers usually land near 10 to 13 mpg. Washington gas prices in the Yakima/Naches area generally run a bit below Seattle prices, with several stations clustered in Naches town and along US 12. Budget around $80 to $150 per day for fuel on a typical Cascades loop. Pro tip: top off in Naches or Yakima before heading west, because pumps along Highway 410 toward Mount Rainier are scarce and pricier.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Naches?

Book early and you'll lock in the prime riverside sites. National forest campgrounds in the Naches Ranger District, including Soda Springs, Cedar Springs, Cougar Flat, and Little Naches, open reservations on Recreation.gov six months in advance, and the most scenic sites near Bumping Lake fill within hours for July and August weekends. Washington State Parks like nearby Yakima Sportsman use the Washington State Parks reservation system on a nine-month rolling window. Private parks like Squaw Rock RV Resort and Silver Beach Resort take direct bookings and tend to fill 2 to 3 months ahead for summer. Pro tip: midweek arrivals are far easier to grab, even in peak season.
recreation.gov/camping/gateways/2992

What are driving conditions like around Naches?

Driving around Naches is friendlier than most people expect. The town sits at about 1,500 feet on US 12, with wide, well-maintained roads through orchard country and along the Naches River. The fun starts when you climb west: Chinook Pass (5,430 ft) and White Pass (4,500 ft) feature tight curves, steep grades, and seasonal closures, with Chinook typically closed from mid-November to late May due to snow. Watch for wildlife at dawn and dusk and afternoon thunderstorms in July and August. Pro tip: check the WSDOT mountain pass report before heading out, and downshift instead of riding the brakes on long descents toward Rimrock Lake.
wsdot.com/travel/real-time/mountainpasses

What amenities do campgrounds near Naches have for RVs?

You'll find a great mix of campground amenities around Naches, from full-hookup resorts to rustic forest sites. Private parks like Squaw Rock RV Resort and Silver Beach Resort on Rimrock Lake offer water, 30/50 amp electric, sewer hookups, dump stations, showers, laundry, and Wi-Fi. US Forest Service campgrounds like Windy Point, Hause Creek, and Soda Springs provide potable water spigots and vault toilets but no hookups, so you'll boondock on your tanks. You can dump tanks and fill fresh water at Squaw Rock, Silver Beach, or the dump station in Yakima. Pro tip: Little Naches Campground asks RVers not to hook hoses to the hand pumps, so fill your fresh water tank before you arrive.

What's actually inside a typical RV rental in Naches?

You'll be impressed by how well-equipped the RVs are. Most have a TV, and many include Wi-Fi hotspots or Bluetooth speakers. All seating positions for passengers come with seatbelts. Pro tip: filter by sleeps count and check the listing's add-ons because many Naches hosts include camping chairs, a Blackstone griddle, or fishing gear for free with your booking.
nhtsa.gov/equipment/recreational-vehicles

What add-ons and pickup options should I look for?

You can customize your campervan rental Naches experience with all kinds of host add-ons: bedding and linen packages ($25-$75), camping kits with chairs and tables ($30-$60), portable BBQs, generators, kayaks, bike racks, and even pre-stocked firewood. Pickup is usually at the host's home base in Naches, Selah, or Yakima, or you can pay a delivery fee to have the RV dropped at your campground. Mileage policies vary, with many hosts including 100 miles per day and others offering unlimited mileage for a flat upcharge. Pro tip: if you're planning to chase Mount Rainier, Leavenworth, and the Palouse in one trip, the unlimited mileage option almost always pays for itself.

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure: you pay through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card, never directly to the host, which protects both sides. Your total includes the nightly rate, RVezy service fee, your chosen protection plan, and any add-ons or delivery fees you select. A refundable security deposit is separate from your booking payment and is pre-authorized on your card before pickup, then released after the host confirms the RV came back clean, fueled, and undamaged. Pro tip: do a quick walkthrough video with the host at both pickup and drop-off so there are no surprises, this is the single biggest thing experienced renters in Naches do to ensure a smooth deposit return.
