2020 Grand Design Travel Trailer
Quick responses, nice trailer, overall good experience. When arriving found the trailer unlevel enough my daughters had a hard time walking around inside. Was told the ground is un level where we were staying, but i know that if the grounds un level the trailer should be set on blocks and wheels locked to make it level. The ac dropped right in front of the awning and the door due to it being so un level as well. The outdoor burners were not hooked up for the outdoor kitchen. Great space inside, very clean and everything worked. the stability was also rocky due to the fact two of the stabilizer arms on one side were both broken. 4/5 as the issues i had should be easily fixable and could of made it a 5/5

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Summitview, WA

How much does an RV rental in Summitview, WA cost?

Renting an RV in Summitview is more affordable than most people expect, especially compared to coastal Washington cities. Motorhomes near the Yakima Valley average around $200 per night, while travel trailers and towable RVs typically run about $120 per night. Many hosts on RVezy offer 10 to 20 percent weekly and monthly discounts, so longer Yakima Valley wine tours and Cascade trips get cheaper by the day. To find a cheap RV rental in Summitview, filter by price, book midweek, and consider shoulder seasons like April or October when wineries are quieter and prices dip. Pro tip: factor in delivery if you're flying into Yakima Air Terminal (YKM), it often beats renting a tow vehicle.

How much should I budget for fuel on a Summitview RV trip?

Washington gas prices tend to run higher than the national average, with Yakima usually a bit cheaper than Seattle. For a 3-day, 300-mile Yakima Valley wine loop in a Class C, budget roughly $150 to $200 for gas. Pro tip: if you strike out, the Bureau of Land Management campgrounds in the Yakima River Canyon are first-come, first-served and a hidden gem, arrive Thursday for the best riverside spots.

What are driving conditions like around Summitview, WA?

Driving around Summitview is genuinely easy for RVs. The city itself has wide grid streets, low traffic compared to Seattle, and plenty of parking. Highway 12 west toward Mount Rainier is a scenic two-lane road with gentle grades up to White Pass (about 4,500 feet), manageable in any motorhome. Interstate 82 connects you quickly to Ellensburg and the Tri-Cities. Watch for two seasonal items: summer wildfire smoke can reduce visibility, and Cascade passes (Chinook, White, Snoqualmie) can require traction tires or chains November through March. Avoid older low-clearance underpasses in downtown Yakima if your rig is over 12 feet tall. Pro tip: the free WSDOT app shows pass conditions in real time, your best friend for any Cascade crossing.

Up Highway 12 at Windy Point and Hause Creek, you'll find vault toilets and potable water but no hookups, classic National Forest camping. For dumping between trips, Yakima Sportsman State Park's station is open to non-campers for a small fee, and most local Flying J and Pilot stations along I-82 have dump and fresh-water fills. How does payment and the security deposit work for an RV rental in Summitview?

Payment is straightforward and secure on RVezy. You pay through the platform with a credit or debit card at booking, never directly to the host, which protects you and creates a clear record. A refundable security deposit is authorized on your card separately from the booking payment (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the rig) and released after drop-off once the host confirms the RV is returned in good condition with no policy violations. To avoid issues, do a thorough walkthrough with photos at pickup and drop-off, follow the host's mileage and pet rules, and return the rig with the agreed fuel and tank levels. Pro tip: keep the host's pickup checklist on your phone for a smooth, deposit-back finish to your Yakima trip.
