Our recent RV trip along the East Coast was amazing, and the RV exceeded all our expectations! It was the perfect size for our family of five—super clean, well-equipped, and easy to navigate. Anthony, our host, was incredible—attentive, friendly, and always just a call away whenever we had a question. We were able to add on a table and chairs when we picked up, which came in very handy. He made sure everything went smoothly and truly enhanced our vacation experience. We couldn't have asked for a better setup or a more gracious host!

Perfect! Communication was great, trailer was as described and fit our needs perfectly. Great friendly service, and I would not hesitate to rent from Maria/Kevin in the future. Set up was efficient and Kevin and his son made sure it was too our liking. No issues with the trailer during our stay and everything functioned properly. We never had to contact them during our stay but I sure felt they would have gone out of their way to assist us. Thanks again Maria and Kevin!!!!

Can I take my RV rental from Rhode Island into Massachusetts or Connecticut?

Absolutely: most RV rentals in Rhode Island allow interstate travel throughout New England (excluding Mexico). Choose your desired route, like a road trip from Providence to Boston (1.5 hours) or Cape Cod (2 hours). Just confirm with your host after booking, and enjoy that coastal adventure without borders. Many renters do a loop through Mystic, CT, and Narragansett to sample the best of the region in a single trip.

How much should I budget for fuel on a Rhode Island RV trip?

Planning is easy: most RVs get 8 to 15 miles per gallon; with Rhode Island’s small size, you can drive the full coastline for under $40 in gas! Local gas prices average around $3.50/gallon (as of this year) per the state’s Energy Resources team. If you’re venturing further, factor 10 to 12 mpg for a Class C motorhome rental. Fill up before heading to Aquidneck or Block Island: gas stations are sparser in rural zones.

How far in advance should I book campgrounds in Rhode Island?

For summer and holiday weekends, reserve your Rhode Island RV campground 3 to 6 months ahead, especially at places like Fishermen’s Memorial or Burlingame State Park. State park reservations open in January via the Rhode Island State Parks website. For a spontaneous getaway, private campgrounds around Warwick and Portsmouth often have extra spots: just call ahead! Tip: Use ReserveAmerica for online bookings and check for off-season discounts in September.

Is it tough to drive an RV in Rhode Island? What about downtown Providence?

No need to stress: most roads in Rhode Island are RV-friendly, but downtown Providence and Newport have narrow streets and low bridges, so avoid those with larger rigs. If you’re new to city driving, many hosts offer delivery right to your campground, skipping the urban hassle. Keep an eye out for low-clearance bridges near Wickenden St and Memorial Blvd. Try the easy Bay Path drive along Route 1 for coastal scenery.

What amenities do Rhode Island RV campgrounds offer?

Most Rhode Island RV parks have electric and water hookups, dump stations, showers, and playgrounds. State parks like Burlingame and Fishermen’s Memorial include fishing docks, hiking access, and camp stores. Waste dump stations are available at most major campgrounds and at the East Greenwich Transfer Station (for a fee). Pro tip: Always fill up fresh water at your campground before heading to beach sites like East Matunuck!

What features can I expect in a Rhode Island RV rental?

You’ll find a wide range of RVs in Rhode Island, from Class B campervan rentals with cozy beds and compact kitchens to larger Class C motorhomes with full baths, TV, and generators. Most rentals include AC, heat, cooking essentials, and seatbelts for the whole family. Some hosts offer extras like grills, paddle boards, or beach passes. Preview all amenities in the listing, and message hosts for add-on options before you book.

Are there any features or pickup options I should look for in a Rhode Island RV rental?

You can tailor your rental: many hosts offer one-way pickup, bike racks, unlimited mileage, and even generator options for off-grid camping. If you have a special request or need a specific pickup time, most hosts are flexible and happy to help you get on the road. Use the RVezy filters to find the exact features you want for your RV camping Rhode Island adventure.

Booking is straightforward: you pay securely online through RVezy, with a security deposit held until your trip ends. The deposit is released after your Rhode Island RV trip as long as the RV is returned in good condition. For a stress-free experience, do a walkthrough video at pickup and drop-off with your host.
