Late May through early September is the prime window, when the swimming beach at Olney Pond is staffed with lifeguards and the picnic areas are fully open. June and September offer milder temperatures and thinner weekend crowds, making it easier to find shoreline parking for larger rigs. Fall brings colorful foliage through October and quiet trail use, while winter access is limited to day walks on plowed roads and paths.

Olney Pond Beach is the park's designated freshwater swimming area, with a sandy shoreline, lifeguards in season, and adjacent picnic tables. Large paved lots within walking distance can handle Class C rigs and tow vehicles.
A roughly 2.3-mile walking route circles Olney Pond on a mix of park roads and paths. Ranger-led versions start at the historic Olney Burial Ground and follow about 2.3 miles around the pond.
Olney Pond is a stocked fishery open to shore and small-boat anglers targeting largemouth bass, trout, and panfish. Multiple shoreline pull-offs along the park loop road make it easy to fish close to where the RV is parked.
Olney Pond offers calm, non-motorized-friendly paddling with a car-top boat launch. The launch area has gravel parking suited to tow vehicles and smaller motorhomes.
Lincoln Woods is known for its open picnic meadows, fireplaces, and reservable stone shelters scattered through the woods. Most areas have paved access roads and parking loops large enough for day-use RV parking.
Granite outcrops along the pond are a well-established local bouldering area used by climbers from across southern New England. Parking is available at pull-offs near the climbing zones on the park loop road.
The park includes multi-use trails and an equestrian staging area that welcome horseback riders. Trailer parking is available, and the same trails double as quiet walking routes for RV guests.
A small colonial-era cemetery within the park offers a short historical stop near the main entrance. It is accessed from the Route 146 / Twin River Road entrance, with free parking available.
We had a fabulous time in this great camper! AR was so easy to communicate with, answered our questions and was very flexible with our plans. We will definitely be planning something in the future with this great camper, my grandkids loved it. A great family experience!

Rob was a great guy who got us out of a jam when our reservation with someone else fell through at the last minute. The trailer was almost brand new and very clean. Linens are also nice and the kitchen was remarkably well!

The park sits in Lincoln, Rhode Island, roughly 7 miles (about 15 minutes) north of Providence via Route 146. Boston is about 50 miles (1 hour) northeast via I-95 and Route 146, and Hartford is about 80 miles (1.5 hours) west via I-84 and I-395. The Route 146 / Twin River Road entrance is the main access point; RV drivers should watch for the low-speed park loop road, tight parking loops near the beach, and a few height-restricted underpasses on surface streets nearby. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent trips is T. F. Green International Airport in Warwick, about 18 miles south.
