What an amazing and fun experience! I highly recommend this option if travelling the East Coast. Dean and his wife were amazing and made the experience super easy from pick up to drop off.
Only problem we had, was that the three weeks with Harvey, were over too fast! He’s comfortable and easy to drive. Especially with the slide out it’s really spacious while on a campground. Heating was sometimes welcome during the night and worked well, but Harvey is also isolated well and we were equipped with plenty of blankets, so it was rarely necessary… He took us through all of Nova Scotia and took bravely some difficult roads with no complaints. Also stiff grades during Cabot Trail were easy to climb up and down… He comes well equipped with everything you need, so you can take off right away. And Nicole is a great host! Very responsive and super friendly! So, if we ever come back to Nova Scotia we would not hesitate to book Harvey again!

Conveniently located a 30-minute drive from the heart of the city, Woodhaven RV Park features 147 full-hookup sites with 15/30/50-amp electricity. While there's not much to do at camp, you'll be within touching distance of two golf courses and a water park. Home comforts include a laundromat, free Wi-Fi, and showers. This campground is open seasonally from the beginning of May through Thanksgiving Monday.
If you'd prefer to camp along a river slightly further from the city, check out the Halifax West KOA. Perched on the Sackville River, 34 kilometres (21 miles) from downtown, the Halifax West KOA is the perfect mix of convenience and seclusion. Each site comes with full hookups and max-amp electricity. Spend your downtime fishing on the Sackville River, or laze around the on-site swimming pool. We loved this campervan so much for our Cape Breton road trip in late September! It had everything we needed. So impressive that the owner who is a carpenter custom built everything in the van. Standout features were running water, large and comfortable queen size bed, lots of storage space, off grid solar panels, screened windows you can open and a screened opening with a fan on the ceiling, insulated covers for windows that help keep heat in on cool nights, large fridge, and composting toilet!

This was the perfect solution for our lack of sleep space when we had family visiting. They were very responsive, we so polite and honest and accommodating.
