I have rented Ian's sprinter van multiple times and I know I will rent it many more times in the near future! Its an incredible van capable of going anywhere worth going, with immense comfort and everything very well planned out. The Starlink is also a huge upgrade from my usual camping experience; we had flawless high speed internet in the grand canyon, of all places. And the bed is shockingly comfortable, might be better than my bed at home. I would recommend this van to first-timers, seasoned campers, and everyone in between.

Are pet-friendly RV rentals available in Glendale?

Yes, plenty of tail-wagging options await. Glendale is a great launching pad for pet travel: Thunderbird Conservation Park has miles of leashed-dog hiking trails, Sahuaro Ranch Park offers shady lawns, and most Maricopa County campgrounds including Lake Pleasant Regional Park allow leashed pets. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm any pet fees and ask about breed or size limits. In summer, plan walks before 8 a.m. since pavement can get dangerously hot by midday in the Phoenix metro.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground or hotel in Glendale?

Yes, and it's the easiest way to start a Glendale RV trip. Many hosts offer RV delivery in Glendale to nearby campgrounds, hotels, Sky Harbor and Deer Valley airports, and even private driveways. Popular drop-off spots include Lake Pleasant Regional Park (about 25 miles north), Desert's Edge RV Village, and State Farm Stadium area hotels during big events. Filter by Delivery on RVezy to see which hosts offer it. Pro tip: delivery fees usually run $2 to $4 per mile round-trip, and some hosts waive fees on stays of 5+ nights.

Pro tip: Maricopa County Parks lets you reserve sites up to six months in advance through their online system, and weekends from October through April book out fast, so reserve early.

When is the best time of year for a Glendale RV trip?

Glendale is a winter wonderland for RVers. The best time to rent an RV in Glendale is mid-October through April, when daytime highs sit between 65°F and 85°F and nights are crisp and comfortable, perfect for RV camping in Glendale and exploring the desert. This is also spring training season (February and March), when Cactus League games at Camelback Ranch and Surprise Stadium make Glendale RV rentals especially popular. Summer (June through September) brings highs of 100°F to 115°F, so most desert visitors head north to cooler spots like Flagstaff (7,000 feet elevation) and the White Mountains. Pro tip: November and early December offer the best combination of perfect weather, lighter crowds, and lower nightly rates before the snowbird rush picks up.

I've never rented an RV before. Is Glendale a good place to start?

It's one of the best in the country for first-time renters. Glendale's wide, flat streets, easy freeway access to Loop 101 and Interstate 17, and abundant pull-through RV parking make first time renting an RV genuinely low-stress. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering the slide-outs, water and waste systems, generator, and driving tips, and you can text them all trip long with questions. Many hosts also offer delivery, so the RV arrives set up and ready at your campsite. The flat Sonoran Desert terrain around Glendale is forgiving for new drivers, and Lake Pleasant is an easy 30-minute test run before bigger adventures. Pro tip: pick a Class B campervan or a 22 to 25-foot Class C for your first trip, they drive much like a large van.
azdot.gov/adot-blog/safety-tips-driving-rv

What happens if something goes wrong with the RV during my trip?

You're never alone on the road. Every Glendale RV rental on RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, covering things like flat tires, lockouts, dead batteries, fuel delivery, and towing when needed. One call connects you to a dispatcher who can send help anywhere in Arizona, from a desert highway near Wickenburg to a forest road outside Payson. Your host is also your first text-message lifeline for rig-specific quirks like the awning, generator, or AC unit, since they know their RV inside and out. RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: snap a photo of the breaker panel and propane shutoff during your walkthrough so you can troubleshoot small hiccups in seconds.

Can I take my Glendale RV rental across state lines or into Mexico?

Yes to road trips across the Southwest, no to Mexico. Your Glendale RV rental is covered for travel throughout the United States, so you can confidently plan an RV road trip from Glendale to Zion (430 miles), the Grand Canyon (235 miles), Joshua Tree (260 miles), Las Vegas (300 miles), or even a longer Pacific Coast loop. Travel into Mexico is not allowed on RVezy rentals because the protection package and roadside coverage do not extend across the border. If you want to visit Rocky Point or other Mexican destinations, plan to park your rental on the U.S. side and continue by car. Pro tip: message the host before booking long routes so they know your itinerary, especially if you're hoping to stretch beyond their standard mileage allowance.
cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/know-before-you-go

What kind of fuel mileage and gas budget should I plan for?

Plan smart and your fuel budget stays predictable. Most motorhomes in Glendale get 8 to 12 miles per gallon (mpg) on gasoline, while campervans and small Class B rigs can hit 16 to 22 mpg. Travel trailers don't burn fuel themselves but typically cut your tow vehicle's mpg by 25 to 35 percent. Arizona gas prices generally run a bit below the national average, with regular hovering around $3.40 to $3.90 per gallon along Loop 101 and I-17. For a typical week-long Glendale loop covering 600 to 800 miles, budget $250 to $400 for fuel. Pro tip: top off at Costco or QuikTrip in Glendale before heading north to the Grand Canyon, where gas in Tusayan and Cameron runs $1 or more higher per gallon.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Glendale?

Earlier is better, especially for the prime season. Maricopa County Parks (which runs Lake Pleasant, White Tank Mountain, Cave Creek, and Estrella Mountain Regional Parks) accepts reservations up to six months in advance through their online reservation system at maricopacountyparks.net, and the Lake Pleasant lakefront sites often sell out the same day the booking window opens for January to March weekends. Private parks like Desert's Edge RV Village and Pleasant Harbor RV Resort typically book 60 to 120 days ahead for snowbird season. For summer trips up to Coconino National Forest, use Recreation.gov six months out. Pro tip: if your dream weekend looks sold out, set a cancellation alert because no-shows free up sites daily, especially around the Cardinals' season and big Westgate events.
maricopacountyparks.net/things-to-do/activity/campsites--group-campsites/

What are driving conditions like in and around Glendale?

Driving an RV around Glendale is refreshingly easy. The roads are flat, wide, and well-signed, with Loop 101, Loop 303, and Interstate 17 ringing the city so you can avoid downtown Phoenix entirely. Watch for two local quirks: monsoon storms from mid-June through September can bring sudden dust storms (haboobs) and flash floods, so pull off and wait them out if visibility drops, and summer pavement temperatures can stress tires so check pressure each morning. The drive north on I-17 toward Flagstaff climbs from 1,150 feet to 7,000 feet, so downshift on the descent back into the valley. Pro tip: avoid Loop 101 during weekday rush hours (7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.) and around State Farm Stadium on Cardinals game days, when traffic snarls within a 5-mile radius.
az511.gov/

What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Glendale?

You'll find solid amenities at most spots. Developed sites at Lake Pleasant Regional Park, Cave Creek Regional Park, and White Tank Mountain Regional Park include water and 30/50-amp electric hookups, picnic tables, fire rings, covered ramadas (a lifesaver in Arizona sun), and access to flush restrooms and showers. Each park has at least one dump station, and potable water fill stations are clearly marked near the entrance. Private resorts like Desert's Edge RV Village and Pleasant Harbor RV Resort add full sewer hookups, pools, laundry, and Wi-Fi. Pro tip: free dump stations can be hard to find in metro Phoenix, so plan to dump and refill water at your campground before checkout. Bring a 25-foot freshwater hose and a sewer hose with at least two elbows for the best connections.
maricopacountyparks.net/park-locator/lake-pleasant-regional-park/camping/

What's included inside a typical Glendale RV rental?

Expect a fully equipped home on wheels. A typical motorhome rental in Glendale comes with a queen or king bed, convertible dinette, full kitchen (refrigerator, freezer, stove, microwave, sink), bathroom with toilet and shower, roof-mounted air conditioning (essential in Arizona), furnace, propane, fresh/gray/black water tanks, and seatbelted travel seats. Many rigs include a TV and Bluetooth speakers, and some hosts add solar panels or an onboard generator for off-grid stays at places like Lake Pleasant. Wi-Fi typically depends on your phone hotspot, though cell coverage is strong throughout Maricopa County. Pro tip: ask the host whether linens, kitchen kits, and outdoor camp chairs are included or available as add-ons, many Glendale hosts include them for free.

What add-ons and pickup options do Glendale hosts offer?

You can customize an RV rental in Glendale to suit your trip. Hosts commonly offer popular add-ons like camp chairs and tables, bedding and linen kits, kitchen kits, portable generators, bikes, kayaks and standup paddleboards (handy for Lake Pleasant), pet packages, and mobile Wi-Fi. Pickup is usually at the host's home address in Glendale, Peoria, or Surprise, with a walkthrough included to cover all the systems. Many hosts also offer delivery to Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) and Deer Valley airports, hotels around Westgate, or directly to your campground. Pro tip: bundle add-ons at booking rather than asking later, since hosts often discount packages and it saves last-minute scrambling.

How does payment and the security deposit work for a Glendale RV rental?

Everything is handled securely through RVezy, with no cash or side payments to the host. When you book your RV rental in Glendale, AZ, you'll pay the rental cost, service fees, and chosen protection plan upfront with a credit or debit card. The security deposit is held separately as a temporary authorization on your card before pickup, not charged outright, and released after drop-off assuming there's no damage or extra mileage to settle. To keep things smooth, take time-stamped photos of the RV inside and out at pickup and drop-off, return it with the same fuel level, and stay within your mileage allowance. Pro tip: dump the tanks before returning the rig, since many hosts charge a fee if this is skipped.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

How do I handle extreme summer heat in a Glendale RV?

With smart planning, you can absolutely RV in Glendale during summer, locals do it all the time. The key is shore power: book campgrounds with 30 or 50-amp hookups so your roof AC can run nonstop, and pick a rig with dual AC units if you're traveling June through September when highs regularly hit 105°F to 115°F. Drive in the early morning to keep the engine and tires cool, park in shade or use a windshield reflector, and keep the fridge stocked with water. Even better, head uphill: Payson (90 miles), Prescott (100 miles), and Flagstaff (145 miles) sit 3,000 to 6,000 feet higher and run 20 to 30 degrees cooler. Pro tip: hosts know their AC systems best, ask at walkthrough about generator runtime limits for boondocking at Lake Pleasant in summer.
