Kim has been great to work with for both of our trips with her van. She is extremely responsive if issues arise and goes the extra mile. She also maintains her van at a very high level so it has been very clean and well equipped for our trips. We highly recommend her for rentals.

The battery had not been charged for our trip. Which made it impossible to use the fridge or the light's, and water. Also because of no battery we were unable to use the awning. we poured water in the toilet in order to use it. was like camping useing an overpriced tent. But it was clean, the girl that met us at the camper was very polite. And RVezyy was GREAT about getting back to us We were in a no cell service area therefore RVeasy was unaware of our delima which made it impossible for them to know we had problems or help us at the time . We learned if we rent another camper to ask more questions about what we are expected to do before the camper is 100% useable.and if we are expected to take it and charge any batteries. Also another couple was returning there rental at the same time we were returning ours and they told us there batterie was dead also. I think batteries should be a given that they will be charged and ready for the clients adventure. Thankyou

This was our first time renting through Rvzy. The accuracy of the listing was good. It was easy to find and Joseph answered all of our questions promptly. They provided us with the basic utensils and bedding needed which was a nice touch and they were very friendly when we picked up. Did a walk around with us and made sure we knew how to use everything. Everything worked great for our trip.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Oakridge, Oregon?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Oakridge, even for large Class A motorhomes. Oregon does not require a commercial driver's license or any special RV endorsement for personal-use motorhomes or trailers. You'll need to be 25 or older, and RVezy verifies your ID through the platform during booking, so there's no extra paperwork at pickup. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Bring your home country's license along with an International Driving Permit, available from your local auto association for around $20. That's truly it. Most first-time renters in Oakridge are surprised at how quick the process is, leaving them free to focus on the Aufderheide Scenic Byway ahead.

What is the cancellation policy if my Oakridge RV trip plans change?

You can book your Oakridge RV trip with confidence because RVezy, not the host, sets the cancellation policy. The exact refund depends on how far ahead of your trip you cancel, and RVezy offers a grace period right after booking. Because Oakridge sits in a forested region where conditions like wildfire smoke or winter storms over Willamette Pass can shift quickly, it is smart to review the cancellation terms before you book. Full details are on the RVezy Help Center, but the takeaway is simple: you have real flexibility built into every booking. Lock in your dates now while the best rigs are still available.

If you would rather skip the drive, filter for Delivery and have the rig set up before you arrive. Can I take my Oakridge RV rental across state lines or into Canada?

Yes, interstate travel from Oakridge is welcome on most RVezy rentals, and the routes are fantastic. Popular RV road trip from Oakridge options include south to Redwood National Park in California (about 5 hours), east to Idaho via Bend and Boise, or north into Washington for Mount Rainier. Cross-border travel into Canada may be allowed depending on the host and their insurance, so send a quick message through the listing before booking to confirm. One firm rule: travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage does not extend there. Pro tip: the drive from Oakridge to Crater Lake (about 110 miles) is one of the highest-payoff short trips in Oregon for first-timers.

How much should I budget for fuel on an Oakridge RV trip?

Fuel is one of the easier line items to plan for in Oakridge. Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 miles per gallon, Class B campervans get 18 to 22, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. Oregon gas prices typically run a bit above the national average, with stations in Oakridge on Highway 58 and slightly cheaper options about 40 miles away in Eugene. Heads up: Oregon law changed in 2023 and you can now pump your own gas statewide, so no more waiting for an attendant in most cases. A typical 4-night loop covering Crater Lake, Waldo Lake, and back usually costs $180 to $300 in fuel. Top off in Eugene before climbing toward Willamette Pass.

How far in advance should I book campgrounds near Oakridge?

For the best campgrounds near Oakridge, book 4 to 6 months ahead for peak summer weekends, especially July and August. Reservable Willamette National Forest sites like Black Canyon, Packard Creek, and Hampton Campground are managed through Recreation.gov and open their booking window 6 months in advance, with the most popular waterfront sites going quickly. Oakridge RV Park takes reservations directly. For shoulder season (May, June, September) you can usually grab a site 2 to 4 weeks out. Pro tip: midweek arrivals (Sunday through Wednesday) often score same-week availability even in July, perfect for spontaneous trips out of Eugene.

What are driving conditions like around Oakridge?

Driving around Oakridge is genuinely manageable, even in a larger motorhome rental in Oakridge. Highway 58 is the main artery and is wide, paved, and plowed year-round, climbing gradually to Willamette Pass at about 5,128 feet. In winter, traction tires or chains are required over the pass, and ODOT updates conditions in real time at TripCheck.com. Watch for log trucks during weekday mornings, deer and elk at dawn and dusk, and the occasional rockfall on cliff-side stretches near Salt Creek Falls. Forest service roads like FR 19 (Aufderheide) and FR 21 are paved but narrow with tight curves, so go slow and use pullouts for oncoming traffic. Avoid gravel roads to spots like Blair Lake in large rigs.
tripcheck.com/

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Oakridge?

Expect a real range of amenities depending on where you camp. Oakridge RV Park offers full hookups (water, sewer, 30/50 amp electric), flush toilets, hot showers, and coin laundry, a comfortable choice for first-timers. Willamette National Forest campgrounds like Salmon Creek Falls, Packard Creek, and Hampton typically have vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and potable water spigots but no hookups, so you will rely on your RV's freshwater tank and generator. Dump stations are available at Oakridge RV Park and a few nearby private parks. Cell service is strong in town and patchy in the forest. Pro tip: fill your freshwater tank in Oakridge before heading up FR 19, where potable water is limited.

Expect a queen or king bed, a kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, sink, and cookware, a bathroom with toilet and shower, dinette seating with seatbelts for travel, climate control, and freshwater, grey, and black tanks. Many motorhomes also include a generator for boondocking near Waldo Lake, a TV setup, and sometimes Wi-Fi or a cellular hotspot (though signal fades fast in the Cascades). Campervan rental Oakridge options are more compact but still cover the essentials with clever space-saving layouts. Each RVezy listing shows exactly what is included, and hosts often add nice touches like camp chairs, lanterns, and starter coffee. Confirm bed and seatbelt counts match your group size before booking.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is handled entirely through RVezy, so you never hand cash or a check to a host. You pay your trip total securely by credit card when you book, and a refundable security deposit is pre-authorized on your card a few days before pickup. The hold is released after your trip as long as you return the RV in the condition you received it, following the host's instructions for fuel and tanks. To avoid any deposit issues, take date-stamped photos of the interior and exterior at pickup and dropoff, dump tanks before returning, and refuel in Oakridge or Westfir. It is easy and protected on both sides.

Can I rent an RV in Oakridge in winter, and is cold-weather camping doable?

Yes, winter RV rental in Oakridge is absolutely an option, and it can be a quietly magical experience. Snow blankets Willamette Pass from late November through March, and Willamette Pass Resort is about 25 miles east for skiing and snowboarding. Look for listings labeled four-season or winterized, which include heated holding tanks, insulated underbellies, and reliable furnaces. Many hosts in Oakridge are familiar with cold-weather setups and will walk you through propane management, skirting, and freeze prevention at pickup. Plan to stay at full-hookup sites like Oakridge RV Park where shore power keeps the furnace running. Pro tip: carry tire chains November through April for Highway 58, ODOT requires them when conditions warrant.
