Starting last week, guests have a new way to cover their deductible in the event of an approved insurance claim — The Loss Damage Waiver.
Let’s dive in!

The Loss Damage Waiver is an alternative to the traditional security deposit. At checkout, guests now see two options:
Guests who choose the waiver have the first $1,500 of their deductible covered by RVezy — no frozen funds, no waiting on a release.

Today, a guest's security deposit covers their deductible up to the amount you've set. Under the waiver, RVezy covers it instead — up to $1,500 on approved claims. Anything above that still gets charged to the guest's card on file, just like today.
Since RVezy is covering the deductible directly, there's no dependency on the guest's available credit and no risk of a hold expiring or being disputed — one less variable in getting claims resolved quickly.
Post-trip charges are unaffected. The waiver only replaces the deposit for the insurance deductible — not cleaning, mileage, generator use, late returns, or fuel/propane. You can still request those through "Request Money" on the booking details page.
Nothing. This is a guest-facing checkout choice — your listing, rental agreement, and payout process stay the same. The only thing that changes is who's on the hook for collecting the deductible, and that's now RVezy.
