Las Vegas, Nevada, is your best bet when it comes to choosing a vacation location that has both big-city fun and an abundance of recreational opportunities.
It’s no secret that people come to Las Vegas for a chance to stay up all night, rub elbows with the stars, and strike it rich. The Las Vegas Strip, an area of the city lined with restaurants, hotels, casinos, and endless entertainment, is the city’s brightest attraction. Still, a million lights can’t outshine what lies along the outskirts of the city.
Las Vegas, located in southern Nevada, is the gateway to recreational areas like Death Valley National Park and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The desert climate makes camping and RV rentals in Las Vegas almost as popular as visiting the Vegas Strip. It’s best to plan your Las Vegas RV rental from the late fall through the early spring to avoid extreme heat. From October through May, cold nights warm up quickly, and daytime highs average between 60 to 90 degrees.

The odds are in your favor when it comes to finding the best RV parks in Las Vegas. RVers who choose to rent a big rig for their Las Vegas road trip and want amenities like 50-amp service, full hookups, and concrete pads for parking should check out one of the country’s top-rated RV resorts, Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort. The Class A motorhome resort caters to bus-style RVs and offers guests everything from swimming pools and hot tubs to tennis courts and putting greens.
If luxury resorts aren’t your thing, and you and your family prefer to park your campervan or travel trailer in a more traditional RV park, opt for an off-strip campground like Las Vegas KOA at Sam’s Town. This RV park has both back-in and pull-through sites with full hookups and options like cable, free Wi-Fi, proximity to off-leash dog areas, and even a little extra space if you choose a deluxe patio site. Like many resorts in the Las Vegas area, this campground provides its guests with a free shuttle to the Las Vegas Strip, so you can park your RV in the campground and explore the city without worrying about finding oversized parking.
To escape to areas outside of the city and camp near hiking trails and scenic points of interest, Valley of Fire State Park has first-come, first-served camping. Some of the sites have electricity and water, while others are more primitive. The park has an on-site dump station and showers. If you want to disconnect, check out Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Campers can make reservations for back-in or pull-through sites with picnic tables and fire rings. If you plan to stay here, fill your on-board water tanks before heading to the park. There are no hookups, and water is only available for drinking.
The Las Vegas Strip Circuit transforms one of the world's most iconic boulevards into a blazing night race. Neon lights, roaring engines, and the electric energy of Las Vegas create an experience unlike any other in motorsport. Rent an RV and make your Grand Prix weekend unforgettable, with the freedom to explore the city on your own terms and a comfortable home base just minutes from all the action.
View event detailsStep into Electric Daisy Carnival where Las Vegas Motor Speedway becomes a glowing universe of sound, art, and carnival rides under desert stars. The flagship Insomniac weekender is built for all-night energy, surprise B2Bs, and wandering from stage to stage until sunrise. Rolling in an RV turns the weekend into a full adventure: your own bed after the last song, space for outfits and snacks, and a calm launch pad for exploring the Strip or Red Rock when you need a breather.
View event detailsFeel the pulse of global innovation without giving up your own space. Consumer Electronics Show brings massive exhibit halls, keynotes, and networking to the Las Vegas Convention Center area, and an RV lets you turn a busy tech week into a trip you actually enjoy. Wake up with coffee from your galley, map sessions on your schedule, and return to a quiet rig after long days on the show floor. It is Las Vegas energy with a door that closes on the noise when you need it.

We rented this RV for our first Stagecoach trip, and it was a fantastic experience. The owners were incredibly kind, warm, communicative, and very first-time renter friendly. They even accommodated a last-minute request for us, which we really appreciated and speaks to how helpful and flexible they are. Since renting an RV comes with a bit of a learning curve, I definitely recommend watching the video links they provide and maybe a few extra YouTube tutorials before your trip. That said, whenever we had questions, the owners were quick to respond and super helpful. The RV itself was spacious and very comfortable for my husband and me. I’m also a bit of a germaphobe, so cleanliness is a big deal to me. I brought Clorox wipes expecting to do a deep clean, but I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it already was—even in the little nooks and crannies where you’d normally expect dust or grime. It was also well stocked with essentials like RV toilet paper, cleaning supplies, a fire extinguisher, and smoke/carbon monoxide alarms, which gave us extra peace of mind. Some of the sensors were a little finicky at times, but again, the owners were immediately responsive whenever we reached out. One helpful tip for future renters: if you plan to pick it up before departure and want the fridge cooled down before stocking it with perishables, I’d recommend picking it up at least a day early and purchasing an RV power cord adapter so you can plug it in at home. Make sure the RV is level as well, since that helps the fridge cool properly. Overall, this was an excellent first RV rental experience, and I would absolutely rent from them again for another festival or getaway.
