Leigh and Kenzie's Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pup 16FQBL Travel Trailer
5.0

Sleeps 3 • Travel Trailer

Whitehorse, YT

Hey there! We have a fantastic couple's trailer that we are thoroughly enjoying camping in! As much as we would love to be out each and every weekend, that's not realistic for us. The days that we aren't able to explore more of the beautiful landscape that the Yukon offers, we want to share those experiences with you! We have fully stocked this 2021 Forest River Wolf Pup 16FQBL (Front Queen, Black Label) with all the things we think are necessary to hit the road- all you need is your clothing and favourite beverages! It is the perfect size for a two, but can accommodate a small child (up to 10 years old). We have no problem with you bringing your doggo along for your adventure, as long as they are well behaved. This 22-foot hard-sided trailer has a murphy-style bed at the front that can be left in the 'bed position'. The couch is great for rainy days, but there is still plenty of space in the trailer with the bed folded out. The dinette table can also be converted into a sleeping space for a small child. The queen bed boasts a luxurious 2" memory foam mattress topper to make sure you sleep comfortably all night long. The bathroom, at the back of the trailer, gives you ample space to store your belongings, take a shower, and sit on the 'throne' with lots of space for your legs. A high-power fan will keep the air circulating throughout the entire trailer when it gets warm. The kitchen/dinette area has plenty of storage for all your dry food and additional items that you want to bring on your adventure. This trailer comes equipped with a full size fridge and freezer to make sure everything stays cool! There is also a mini fridge on the outside of the trailer for quick access. The outdoor mini fridge is only functional when plugged into shore power, but works as a cooler when you toss in a few ice packs in a pinch! I've tried to show much of what is included in the photos, but here is a detailed list: - bedding for the queen bed (fitted and flat sheet, duvet and duvet cover, pillows and pillow covers (two memory foam pillows and two standard microfiber pillows), and sherpa blanket. - plates, mugs, glasses, utensils, cutlery, tupperware, knives, bottle opener, can opener, etc. - pots, pans (non-stick and cast iron), cutting boards, cheese grater, toaster, coffee pot (french press), kettle, etc. - basic cooking supplies (salt, pepper, olive and veg/canola oil, condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish)) - cleaning supplies (paper towel, dish sponge and soap, broom and dustpan, garbage bags, etc.). - two camping chairs, outdoor collapsible garbage and recycle bin, outdoor rug, and marshmallow roasting sticks. - two sets of bath towels (body, hand and face towels). If there is something that you don't see listed, please send me a message and I can let you know if it is included in the rental or not. This trailer comes equipped with a two-burner propane stove top, fridge and freezer, microwave, large stainless steel sink, bathroom with shower, outdoor shower, bright LED lights throughout and blue LED lights on the outside, hot water heater (electric or propane powered), propane heat, air conditioning, outdoor awning, indoor and outdoor sound system, back up camera (that connects to your phone), power jack, and tons of storage. The dry weight of this trailer is ~3,100 lbs. It has a Cargo Carrying Capacity of ~900lbs. When full of fresh water (26 gallons = ~215lbs), it has a carrying capacity of ~685lbs of whatever you want to put in it. The weight of the trailer should not exceed ~3,900. Your tow vehicle should be able to tow minimum ~4,500 lbs for safe measures. Our trailer is equipped with four 100w solar panels to make sure the lithium battery is always charged. The trailer will be fully powered off of the solar/battery system EXCEPT for the air conditioner, outdoor mini fridge, and microwave. To use these three things, you need to be at a powered site (a generator is not sufficient to power those three things). Add-ons to the rental are: - wireless, bluetooth enabled trailer brake controller (if your tow vehicle has a 7-pin connector, then you just need to slide the controller into it and download the free app) and hitch. - portable bbq with quick connect line to the propane tank at the front of the trailer. - propane tank refill (we supply one full propane tank at the beginning of your trip. If you don't want to refill it prior returning the trailer, the pre-payment will take care of that). - emptying septic tanks after use (if you don't want to deal with emptying the grey/black water before you return the trailer, we will take care of that for you). As a renter, I hope that you ask questions and take care of our unit as if it were your own. We love camping in this trailer, and we want that to continue :) We do not do any last minute bookings. We require a minimum of 3 days' notice, with a minimum rental period of 4 days.

Experience the untamed beauty of the Yukon, a vast and rugged region in northwest Canada known for its pristine wilderness, rich history, and vibrant cultural heritage. This remote area is perfect for adventurous travelers seeking an escape from the ordinary, and an RV rental in Yukon allows you to experience the breathtaking landscapes at your own pace. From the rugged peaks of the Saint Elias Mountains to the historic gold rush town of Dawson City, the Yukon offers countless opportunities for exploration and adventure.

Yukon is known for its diverse terrain, which includes towering mountains, sweeping valleys, dense forests, and sparkling lakes and rivers. The climate varies greatly depending on the region and time of year, with mild summers and cold winters. The best time to visit Yukon in an RV is during the summer when temperatures are pleasant and the days are long, providing ample time for outdoor exploration. Sometimes, you can even experience the Midnight Sun, a natural phenomenon where the sun remains visible at midnight.

Northern lights

Yukon is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a wide range of activities and experiences in its vast wilderness. One of the must-visit destinations is Kluane National Park and Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site that boasts the country's highest peak, Mount Logan, and the largest ice field outside the polar regions. Explore the park's extensive network of hiking trails, witness the awe-inspiring beauty of glaciers, and spot a variety of wildlife, including grizzly bears, Dall sheep, and mountain goats. For RV camping, Kathleen Lake Campground is a great option within the park, featuring beautiful views and basic amenities.

Another popular outdoor destination in Yukon is Tombstone Territorial Park, known for its dramatic landscapes, diverse flora and fauna, and rich First Nations culture. The park's unique topography features jagged peaks, rolling tundra, and pristine lakes, making it an ideal spot for hiking, wildlife viewing, and photography. The well-maintained Grizzly Lake Campground provides RV-accessible sites and is a perfect base for exploring the park's many trails.

If you're looking for a more leisurely outdoor experience, consider visiting the Takhini Hot Springs, located just outside of Whitehorse. Relax and unwind in the warm, mineral-rich waters while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Yukon wilderness. There are also several RV-friendly campgrounds nearby, such as the Takhini Hot Springs Campground and the Hi-Country RV Park.

Kayak Yukon

Yukon offers a wealth of cultural and historical attractions that make it an excellent destination for RV travelers. One of the most popular attractions is the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, just across the border in Alaska, which commemorates the famous gold rush of the late 19th century. Explore the park's well-preserved buildings, museums, and exhibits to learn about the region's rich history and the fascinating stories of the prospectors who flocked to the area in search of fortune. The park is easily accessible by RV, and several campgrounds are nearby, such as the Gold Rush Campground.

Another must-visit attraction in Yukon is the Yukon Wildlife Preserve, located just outside of Whitehorse. This expansive wildlife sanctuary is home to a variety of native species, including moose, caribou, bison, and Arctic foxes. Enjoy a guided tour or explore the preserve's walking trails at your leisure for a chance to see these magnificent creatures up close. For RV camping, consider the nearby Wolf Creek Campground, which offers basic amenities and a beautiful natural setting.

Finally, don't miss the opportunity to experience Yukon's vibrant arts and cultural scene in Whitehorse, the territory's capital city. Visit the MacBride Museum to learn about the region's fascinating history, or explore the Yukon Arts Centre, which showcases the work of local and international artists. With several RV-friendly campgrounds in and around the city, you'll have no trouble finding a comfortable place to park your rig as you explore all that Yukon has to offer.
