Creative Care Packages To Leave For Renters

Although renters don’t expect a gift when renting, to walk on to an RV to see a care package filled with things they could use on their trip is such a nice idea. Not only does it say that you’re excited they’re renting from you, but it starts off their trip on a really good note.

You don’t have to go all out with care packages, but ones that have a theme do work really well. Think about what they may forget on a trip, what they will definitely need, and what could make their trip a lot better. All of these things will make amazing care packages, and you could swap out what you make for every renter you have.

You really don’t need to go spend a ton of money, but it should reflect how happy you are to have someone renting from you! Here are 5 completely different ideas that you can greet your guests with:

Body Care Package

There is nothing like forgetting to pack your toiletries. Although this doesn’t happen to everyone, it’s very upsetting when it does. This is something you really can’t go without, so giving your renters a care package of body care essentials says that you’re thinking about them and want to take the stress off of them.

To make sure the care package is filled with all of the body care essentials, here is a list of what you could add:

  • Mini or regular bottles of shampoo and conditioner
  • Body wash or a bar of soap
  • Loofa or a couple of face cloths
  • Hand soap
  • Moisturizer

Bug Spray Maker Kit

Bug spray is easy to buy, but there are a lot of chemicals in it that aren’t great for the air or your skin. Once you make your own bug spray, you’ll never go back. And it’s actually easy to make! Leaving this care package for your renters will show that you put a ton of effort into this gift.

These ingredients are all natural, and they won’t leave you feeling sticky or smelling like bug spray. It’s a nice gift that they can take home and use anywhere else. Here is are the essentials to make your own bug spray kit:

  • Witch hazel
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Citronella essential oil, along with any other nice smelling essential oil (eucalyptus, lemongrass)
  • A glass spray bottle

You can find the recipe here, which you can also print out and leave in the package.

S’mores Kit

Who doesn’t love s’mores while camping?! Seriously, there is nothing better than sitting by the fire at night while roasting marshmallows. This may be something a lot of people forget to bring on a camping trip, and then remember it while they’re sitting by the fire.

A s’mores kit is great no matter how old the renters are. There are a few different items you could choose from, but here are the most important ones:

  • Graham crackers
  • Marshmallows
  • Chocolate (you could provide milk chocolate, dark chocolate, even Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups)
  • Roasting Sticks

Coffee and Tea Care Package

The smell of brewed coffee in the morning is amazing, but sometimes you just can’t have a coffee machine nearby. Coffee and tea are staples in so many peoples morning routines, so having a care package filled with coffee and tea essentials will definitely make your renters morning people.

Since a lot of RV’s don’t have coffee machines, here are some other great options for a care package:

  • Instant coffee
  • Green and chamomile tea
  • A couple of coffee mugs
  • Sugar
  • Non-refrigerated coffee creamer

Beach Essentials Care Package

Besides a bathing suit and sunscreen, renters probably don’t think of bringing a ton of beach stuff on their camping trips. Whether they’re an older couple or a young family, spending time at the beach is always so much fun. But it’s easy to forget a ton of beach essentials.

Of course a bathing suit is the most important part, but you definitely can’t provide that. So why not provide all the other essentials?! Here are some great options that anyone can enjoy on a camping/beach trip:

  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Big beach towel
  • Aloe vera
  • Inflatable beach ball

These are just a few of the care packages you can greet your guests with. But no matter what, your renters will love that you took the time to come up with something sweet, catered to what they need. From s'mores kits to beach essentials, they're sure to love whatever you decide to leave for them.
