About Fred

To review an experience is sometimes difficult. Nothing ever goes exactly as planned on a vacation, it's impossible. With this in mind my first thoughts about The Tiffin, the RV itself, is that is was perfectly imperfect. I knew I was renting an older machine, and I certainly assumed it would have quirks, and trust, it does, however it provided me with exactly the experience I wanted. When there were issues, and there were issues, the owner of the Tiffin, Fred, was incredibly available, and willing to trouble shoot via phone or text to get us up and running. He's a fantastic and organized man, fair, and compassionate. For this, I consider my time in the Tiffin a success. I'd recommend the Tiffin for experienced drivers. I can't sugar coat this. It's older, it's loose, and you need to know how to operate a larger vehicle to drive it or you might be in actual danger. So beginners, park your ego, seriously, driving an RV isn't easy. If you do grab the Tiffin, then my advice is to keep it in the Lowlands, use it for Gentle slopes and flat surfaces, the Tiffin isn't your go to for Mountain passes with 11 degree grades and switchbacks. Can it be done, yes, I did it. Should it be done, hell no, I shouldn't have done it. Stay safe out there, and should you be so lucky as to meet Fred, and eventually rent this RV, my last thought is this, you could do a lot worse, and at the least, you will have met a really stand up, and nice man, and had a lot of fun in the best Clark Griswold way. Great week in the Tiffin for a mountain bike trip on the westcoast! The tiffin offered efficient mean of transportation and plenty room for our crew of 4 with all the accommodation to make it as convenient as one could ask for. This RV is made for adventure and we can tell it has many more to come! The owner was also super friendly and helpful!

This was a great unit to rent. Fred gave us a thorough walk through and made sure we were prepared before leaving. I'm 6'5 and I didn't have to crouch which was a nice. Would definitely rent again!

Fred was such an amazing guy to rent from and the Pace Arrow was the perfect RV to take on our long road trip to Burning Man in USA. Fred was very quick and helpful in responding to messages and made sure I was comfortable driving the RV as I had never driven one before and was a bit nervous. Although the RV is quite old it is very very well cared for and Fred and Marlayne have clearly put a lot of love into her. It is very well equipped with everything you can think you would need for a lovely getaway. I woud recommend renting from Fred to anyone. Thank you so much again, it really made the trip for us.
