- Darlene H.Oct 2020This is an awesome rig! Everything went smoothly with our rental. Patrick was great at communicating, and showed us thoroughly how everything worked. Everything did work perfect, even in below 0 temperatures and blizzarding in the mountains. We are downsizing from a class a and wanted to try out this type of van. It does everything and looks cool too!
- Jovana D.Oct 2020Wonderful way to explore the Canadian Rockies! Brooklyn Way allowed us to seek out wild camping spots that we couldn't imagine enjoying any other way. It rained (a lot!) on our trip & the temperatures got quite low as we drove through the first snows of winter, but we were cozy and safe in our little traveling home.
- Cheramie C.Oct 2019We had a wonderful time. First time traveling in a RV and couldn't have started with a better van than Christopher Wallace. It is so tastefully decorated and has everything we need. It's such a great way to travel with our dog too. Thanks Pat again for making our trip super special :)
- Claudiu B.Sep 2019This is the ONLY way road trips should be done. Easily the coolest vacation we’ve been on. Convenice, comfort AND aesthetic AF!
- Martha S.Aug 2019The Christopher Wallace van from Yamanomad is highly recommended!! It provides an off-grid upscale retreat on the road with all the comforts of home. The owners are a pleasure to deal with and the experience was a joy from beginning to end.
- Arden R.Aug 2019My husband and I have always wanted to travel to the Yukon. We are avid tent campers, but thought for this bucket list trip we would treat ourselves and rent an RV. We decided to give Yama Nomad a chance, and it was easily the best decision we made! Christopher Wallace (the van) was everything we could have hoped for and more. It was easy to drive and park, and the captains chairs were super comfortable (which was important because we had some days of driving more than 12 hours!). It was also surprisingly fuel efficient for such a large vehicle. The entire van was extremely well planned and built, right down to the last detail, and was very easy to operate and maintain. The actual living space was beautifully appointed. Comfortable bed, hot water, full bathroom, and pretty much anything you could need in the kitchen. The fridge/freezer was large enough for me to bring 2 weeks worth of perishables, which meant we really only had to purchase milk along the way! With a huge storage space in the back where we could easily fit all of our outdoor gear, nonperishable food, extra clothing, etc with ease, packing up was a breeze. It made what could have been a long slog of a trip into an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable experience. Pat and Alex were both great from start to finish. They were just as excited about our trip as we were, and you can tell they are very passionate about their work. Questions were answered promptly, they provided all sort of useful resources for us, and they genuinely strove to ensure we had the best experience possible. You can really tell these two and their company have a bright future! Neither my husband nor I would hesitate to work with Yama Nomad again, and indeed we sincerely hope to get the chance to in the future, and we will highly recommend them to anyone looking for an extraordinary experience.
- John G.Jul 2019Can't recommend highly enough! The scenery of the Canadian Rockies is outstanding . . . Yama Nomad's van is the icing on the cake! Attention to detail is what sets Christopher Wallace in a class of its own--from the super comfortable captain's chairs and the full size bed to the full bathroom and full compliment of kitchen gear. The van drives like an SUV . . . easy and maneuverable . . . parked in car spaces with ease. We will be renting again!
- Dawn G.Jul 2019Yama Nomad went above and beyond by sharing their Tiny Home on Wheels with us. Christopher Wallace turned heads wherever we were! The unit was clean, efficient, comfortable and easy to drive, set up and pack up. All our needs were met. The coffee and beer provided was an excellent touch.
- David & Michelle M.Jul 2019We had a wonderful time exploring the Kootenays in BC onboard Christopher Wallace. Pat and Alex equipped the van with many unique and thoughtful touches that truly made this our home away from home. We had a number of rainy evenings and we were grateful to have a spacious and warm environment to relax and kickback out of the elements. The van was easy to drive and the 4x4 with its extra clearance gave extra confidence when heading to some more remote trailheads. We would highly recommend the van and look forward to the opportunity to take Christopher on another road trip in the future. Pat and Alex were great to work with and made the booking process easy and efficient. David & Michelle
- Allison B.Jun 2019My husband and I spent a week driving the Christopher Wallace van from Calgary up through Banff and Jasper and would have driven it home, if we could! :) The van really felt like a tiny home on wheels and had everything we needed to live comfortably for the week. The van comes equipped with more cooking supplies than we sometimes even find in Airbnbs and we loved trying the local beers and coffee that came with the rental. Since the van in truly an off-grid home, our favorite thing was driving to a scenic lookout first thing in the morning, opening the doors and windows and cooking/eating our breakfast with a view of the mountains. The sink and shower both had hot water and the water pressure was excellent. It was our first time using a composting toilet and while we were nervous at first, we were delightfully impressed with how easy it was to use and how it literally didn't smell at all - even after a week of use! We got stuck in some really long traffic jams and it was the best thing ever having a toilet and a fridge full of snacks right there in the van. The bed was also super comfortable and spacious as were all the seats, and driving the van was a breeze since it's not an extra wide vehicle like an RV. We both work while we travel and have a lot of camera equipment so we had electronics charging constantly plus we’d sometimes have the stove, water heater and heat going all at once and we still never even came close to running out of power. The van is actually so efficient, that we ended up downgrading our campsite from an electric site to an unserviced site (and got some money back), since we never ended up needing to plug into power and didn’t need a constant water supply because the tanks in the garage are so big. The Yama team really went above and beyond to make sure that the van’s equipped with all the necessities and amenities so that you can just relax and enjoy your trip without worrying about a thing. We can’t recommend Christopher Wallace enough!
- Mitchell L.May 2019Brace yourself for an incredible journey as you'll experience an adventure far away from home, but feeling right at home. Yama Nomad has transformed the way I travel the outdoors.
