The hosts had a pleasant demeanor and the trailer was clean, but unfortunately our experience was characterized by a series of failures. We were expecting a relaxing and enjoyable vacation but the reality we encountered fell short of our expectations. The first issue began when the trailer was not delivered on time. This was an inconvenience to my son and I who had to wait at the site, but also to other friends and family who delayed their departure on our advice. We had ideally wanted to be there at 3, but the trailer would eventually not be set up until after 7:00 pm. Unfortunately, spending time unpacking when we had planned to make a family dinner was not ideal. Furthermore, upon settling into the trailer, we were shocked to discover there was a significant leak in both the kitchen area and bunk area, water was pouring through the roof dampening the interior and creating an uncomfortable environment. We sat in our vehicle in the rain while they fixed the issues. This took upward of 2 hours. The trailer also had to be levelled a certain way to ensure that the water did not continue seep in which also created a somewhat “bouncy” and slanted trailer for the remaining stay. Adding to the issues, the air mattress provided within the trailer had a leak, resulting in an uncomfortable night’s sleep and further diminishing the quality of the stay. Again the hosts had to come out and patch the mattress (we tried in vain to fix ourselves) Such basic amenities should have been thoroughly inspected and maintained to ensure a pleasant guest experience. What was most concerning is the evident lack of foresight demonstrated. It was made clear that these issues (all the leaks and mattress) were pre-existing and should have been addressed properly before the trailer was made available. Regrettably and despite their fixing the issues, we were only offered a refund of one night stay out of a 4 night stay. These issues happened on Thursday (late arrival and set up) Friday (Leaks) and Saturday (Mattress) each and every day, so each day we had an issue. This of course involved explaining the issues, texting back and forth, taking and sending pictures and the physical in person disruptions nearly every day to our stay. We felt this marginal refund was an inadequate resolution given the numerous problems. The hosts further disappointed us with how they spoke about the issues, “you probably sat on the air mattress a certain way” “ I am doing this when I should be at my real job” was dismissive to our issues and the inconveniences we encountered. As an Airbnb host I can understand it can be difficult to juggle a full time job and a side gig but my guests would never be made to feel that fixing my oversights was a favour or their fault. We urge the host to take this feedback seriously to make necessary improvements to their equipment, customer approach to problems and time management. We hope they will provide more significant resolution that what was offered than the one night refund that was provided, which may have prevented this review.

Beautiful camper, huge, comfortable, clean.

Candace and her family provided fantastic service for delivery, set up and checked in on us a couple times when our site had power issues. The unit was perfect for our family trip. Will be looking to book again.
