Overall, we had a mixed experience renting this RV. Communication with the owner was good throughout the process, and the RV itself was clean and well-equipped with dishes, cookware, and the other essentials we needed for our trip. Unfortunately, we ran into significant issues with the batteries. My husband and son picked up the RV on Wednesday morning, and while the owner mentioned the batteries would fully charge during the drive to our campsite, that unfortunately wasn't the case. We were dry camping in a shaded, treed site, so we couldn't rely on the solar panels during the day. The batteries appeared to be very old and simply would not hold a charge, leaving us without reliable power or water for most of our four-day trip. We also discovered that the wrong water tank had been filled during pickup because we weren't shown which tank to use. Between the lack of power and water, we had to buy ice throughout the weekend and move all of our food into our friends' RV fridge to keep it from spoiling. Thankfully we were camping with friends who had the space to help us out, but it was a stressful situation, especially with young children. I don't share this to discourage others from renting, but rather to provide honest feedback. I would strongly recommend replacing the batteries before renting the RV again, or alternatively, only renting it to campers staying at sites with electrical hookups until the battery issue is resolved. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future renters because, aside from these issues, the RV itself was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked.
