2013 GMC Savana
Welcome to your fully off-grid Rocky Mountain escape! This professionally converted 2013 GMC Savana 2500 Campervan is fully equipped for weeks of off-grid living. This van was designed and converted by experts with efficiency and functionality as the highest priority.
POWER
This van has a large battery bank that has 3 ways to charge: the sun (310W solar panel), driving (120A alternator), or plugging in to shore power (40A charger). This allows for weeks of off-grid power, no campsites and you will have all the power you can imagine. There are plenty of outlets and USB chargers for cell phones, laptops and tablets. The front dash is equipped with a universal phone mount for easy navigation, and a phone charger with lightning cable and bluetooth connection allows you to play your favourite music right from your phone.
WATER
This camper has a massive 132L (35 gallon) water tank, and will last the average rental 1-2 weeks without needing to fill it. Refilling the tank is painless and can be done from any source of clean drinking water (don't worry, we will show you everything!). There is a full size kitchen sink and a convenient outdoor spray port so you can conveniently hose/shower off in the back. (towels included)
INTERIOR
The interior is a beautiful wooden finish that is designed for comfort, space and functionality.
*Kitchen: The kitchen includes a large prep area, camp stove & propane, pots & pans, small french press for coffee, cooking utensils, plates, cups & mugs, bowls and eating utensils. There is a high efficiency cooler fridge, a spice rack, lots of pantry storage, and a table mount on the door for eating or additional counter space.
*Toilet: Inside the bench there is a Thetford self-contained toilet! (small dump fee or you can dump it yourself for free.)
*Sleeping: The bed sleeps two and is a double size (54" x 73"). If you're taller than 6' 1" (185cm) and you like to sleep perfectly straight, you may find the bed a bit tight. All your bedding, linens and pillows are provided. Above the bed is a reading light and a 10 speed roof vent which helps you stay cool on hot nights.
*Lighting: Plenty of LED lighting installed including pot lights, two reading lights & glow lighting in the kitchen and garage storage, and a backlit water tank so you can always see how much water you have.
*Storage: There is ample storage throughout for everything you bring, including in the kitchen (soft close drawers), and a large 'garage' storage area under the bed for any larger gear or luggage.
RECOMMENDATIONS & OPTIONS
- Explore the many trails and hikes in Kananaskis! Enjoy incredible views, lakes and rivers under an hour away. We can recommend some fantastic places to go and explore.
- Explore Banff, Canmore and Lake Louise, Jasper: beautiful, quaint small mountain- towns!
*Canada National Parks Pass (Discovery Pass for all Canadian National Parks) & Kananaskis Park Pass included! No need to purchase any additional passes.
- Optional items can be included upon request: camping chairs, roasting sticks, cooler, etc.
- Other big items for rent: paddle board, pump, oar & lifejacket (2 sets available for $100 each)
*Fall / Winter Camping (Sept - March): Please note that in this time frame it is possible that temperatures in the mountains at night can drop below zero. If that is the case, we do have to drain the water in the van as the pipes may burst. The toilet will also be unavailable. This will be the same case for all RV's! We will provide some large bottles of water for brushing teeth / washing a dish if needed.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT
We want everything to go as smoothly as possible for you, so we are very flexible! The only limitations are when a booking backs onto another one - in that case check-out is at 11:00AM and check-in at 2:00PM. We will do everything we can to accommodate your schedule because we want you to have maximum time with the van!
Escape to the Rockies today, we know it will be an unforgettable experience!

Spent two nights in the van. Comfortable bed.
Had everything we needed. Thank you
Rebecca was a lovely host and very helpful. I enjoyed the van and came equipped with everything. Thank you so much again, Rebecca.
Very cozy van setup. Were able to do almost everything without many sacrifices. Very clean and comfortable. Also convenient size, since there are restrictions on where RVs can park in the cities, this guy blends right in and fits into all standard parking spots. Could use a bit more cookware inside, and maybe a new Coleman stove, but otherwise had a great experience.
