1970 Shasta Airflyte
Step back in time with a unique and stylish camping experience in our 1958 Shasta Airflyte. Hand-built in Los Angeles California entirely of lightweight metal and wood, this classic timepiece stands as a testament to the quality of construction of a bygone era before the onslaught of pop-out fiberglass and plastic pop-outs became commonplace. But be prepared, she's very photogenic and may spark interest from passers-by, as not many of these have survived to this day, and are not commonplace in the great outdoors of the Canadian Rockies! Our Shasta comfortably sleeps 3 adults and 1-2 children comfortably between a full size sofa-conversion, a single-size bunk above, and a twin-size dining table conversion at front. With generously sized wheels and suspension to match, together with her light weight and aerodynamic shape, this camper is a dream to tow behind any adequately sized vehicle that will have you forgetting at times your under tow! A well-designed tongue with hand-crank jack and 7-pin trailer connector make for easy hitch and unhitch. We have various balls of differing drops to fit your 2" receiver should you need it. We offer delivery within a 150 km radius of Invermere BC, for example the range reaches as far as Banff Alberta, Golden BC, Cranbrook BC, Kimberly BC, and all front-country locations within this range. Further destinations are open to consideration, just ask.
Her kitchen is equipped with a small gas range capable of light baking with 3 gas burners on top for any simple meals, together with all the cooking utensils, pots, pans and the like you might need. Her owners like to cook and so she's setup for good cooking! An in-wall propane-fired refrigerator takes care of keeping your food cool with ample space, coupled with a generous wall-mounted propane heater to keep you warm from your toes to your nose on wet and chilly spring or fall days. She's not insulated or winterized, so camping below freezing is not permitted. See what else is included with the listing details. Many fun extras are available to customize your adventure from canoes to standup paddleboards, fishing equipment and more.

Hi! I grew up in Calgary Alberta at the foot of the Canadian Rocky Mountains and now make my home in Invermere BC in the East Kootenays region of British Columbia where we have some of the best adventure seeker outdoors in Western Canada! I'm passionate about restoring old things and vintage campers are one of my favorites, alongside old buildings. I have a background in Architecture and competed in Alpine Snowboard Racing for 10 years. I'm now a proud father of one and enjoy plenty of time biking, hiking, paddling and camping in the beautiful outdoors wherever that takes me.
