* The travel van is equipped with a 960W (3 x 320W panel) solar-powered system + a backup gasoline generator. This will enhance the battery charging significantly, and if you manage the battery usage well, and with a compromise of using the gasoline generator, you may skip a campground visit.

While the van was new, that's extent of what was great. The ad was misleading. The toilet was a porter potty. The host allegedly was in an accidenton the way to drop the vehicle off to me. The host said that gray waste could just go in the drain. That is illegal. I don't recommend this host at all.
Jack was an excellent host and provided good details regarding the van, condition and pick up directions. The van was exactly what we needed for our trip to sequoia national park as it was well equipped. One suggestion is that, it would have been helpful to have a soup pot and cups. As well, be prepared for comments about the big signs on 3 sides of the van. Over all, the van fit our needs and Jack was an excellent communicator, available to answer any questions I had. Much appreciated!

Jack was very accommodating and brought the van into the city for us and allowed us to drop it at the airport. Those were very helpful. The van ran fine. I was not overly happy with the number of squeaks while you drive and with the general layout. The electrical system running everything in the back only ran on a small battery with the solar panels. We really had to limit our energy usage to make the battery last all night. It would be fine if you were camped where are you could plug-in. I give jack 5 stars and the van 3.5.
Such an easy transition from lifelong tenters to campervan. It suited all our needs. Jack was prompt in responding to all our questions before and during our journey. The trip was amazing and having no hassle accommodations made it even sweeter. We could just roll into our different campgrounds with ease. The only thing we would say is it does have a shower sink and toilet. We didn’t use the shower and sink. If that was taken out there would be a little more room. We know for next time. Not too big that we managed OK through all those crazy mountain roads. We had such an amazing time. Just a few quirks. The pull out shelving was difficult to pull out. It didn’t have much for kitchen ware but we picked up a few things. Campervan is the way to go and would highly recommend this one.
