The tent is quite easy to setup, it has a 3 inches memory foam mattress in it so it’s quite comfortable. You can easily set it up and break it down. All of our gears are setup for TWO people, as listed above. We may not have extra gears but will do our best to fulfill everyone’s requests. We highly recommend that you bring your own beddings if you have more than 2 people. It is easier for us and will take a lot less space in the camper for you. Our beddings kits are in bins and are for 2 people. If you need an extra beddings bin, we charge $25 per kits for the length of your stay. Pick up at the airport is $75 and same for drop off. We highly prefer and recommend that you use your own transportation. An Uber or Lyft runs around $40. An airport taxi will cost around $70. ✵✵ PICK UP TIME ✵✵ Departure time is at 3pm and return time is at 11 am. If you would like to inquire if a late return or early pick up is possible, we sometime can accommodate you if we don't have back to back bookings. The fee for an early departure is $65 and same for a late return. Please communicate with us and please make sure that you return your camper on time. ❖ ❖ CLEANING FEE ❖ ❖ Your cleaning fee is for the tents, the kitchen kit, your beddings and the sanitization of your vehicle. We do ask that you return your camper in the same shape as it was when you got it. At time of departure we will remind you of 1- Filling the camper with gas before returning 2- Running it through the car wash at SUDZ in Kapaa and 3- Giving it a quick 2 minutes vacuum Car rental taxes and fees are mandatory industry-wide charges required by the State of Hawaii. Car rental companies only get to keep the base rate. All taxes, fees and surcharges collected go to the State. Airbnb does not charge the HRHS (Hawaii State Rental Car Surcharge) of $5 per night. The Department of Parks & Recreation provides quality recreational and leisure time experiences for residents and visitors of the County of Kaua‘i. Camping Permits are issued for the following County campgrounds: Anini Beach Park (closed every Wednesday from 10 am to 12 noon on Thursday for maintenance) Anahola Beach Park (closed every Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon on Friday for maintenance) The following County campgrounds are currently closed for recreational camping: Salt Pond Park (closed every Tuesday from 10 am to 12 noon Wednesday for maintenance) Reopening TBD Lydgate Park Campground (closed every Tuesday from 10 am to 12 noon Thursday for maintenance) Reopening TBD Lucy Wright Park (TEMPORARILY CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE) Hā‘ena Beach Park (CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE) Hanalei Blackpot Park (CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE) For campsites and permits, please visit the Department of Land and Natural Resources - Division of State Parks website We prefer our guests to stay at Kumu Camp -please visit their website so you can get a reservation. They allow sleeping inside the vehicle and has always been the best camp base for our guests as this is centrally located in the island. When you book, you will be provided with a list of other campsites where you can use the rooftop tent at as well as our electronic guidebook for recommendations on what to do, where to go, what to see and where to eat. ✔ PLAN AHEAD AND SECURE PERMITS ✔ MUST HAVE A DRIVER'S LICENSE (LOCAL OR INTERNATIONAL) ADDITIONAL OFFERS Airport Pick Up - $75 We will come pick you up at the airport, bring you to our location and show you the basics of your package. Once you booked your airport pick up, you must reach out to us to make sure your timing works with our schedule for your ride to be valid and confirmed. Airport Drop Off - $75 We provide a ride to drop you off at the airport from our office. Once you booked your airport drop off, you must reach out to us to make sure your timing works with our schedule for your ride to be confirmed. Go-Pro camera - $75 Enjoy filming in any weather and underwater with our Go-Pro camera Comfy hammock with adjustable straps - $25 Enjoy an elevating afternoon nap or a full night of sleep in our hammock. Inflatable double mattress with pump - $25 If you would like some significant extra padding for the ground tent, enjoy a fat cozy mattress. Portable pressure shower - $25 Although there are showers in all campgrounds on the island, you may want to rinse on the go after a swim! Early pickup - $65 **SEND A MESSAGE FIRST** If you would like to have the truck before our regular pickup time (3pm). We try our best to accommodate but on a case by case basis. Late return - $65 **SEND A MESSAGE FIRST** If you would like to have the truck returned after our regular drop-off time (11am), we can accommodate you on a case by case basis. Extra bedding kit for 2 - $25 2 pillows, 2 sheets, 1 comforter, 2 towels and 2 washcloths. Surfboard 8ft - $75 Great value as Surfboards can easily rent for $75 for half a day on Kauai. You get to use the board for the length of your trip. Ideal to carry around with the Tacoma trucks, this surfboard will also fit inside our 4Runners and Fj cruisers over the passenger seat. ❖ ❖ SECURITY DEPOSITS & INSURANCE ❖ ❖ You may be allowed to use your own personal insurance (USAA, GEICO, STATE FARM, ETC) but we do not accept insurances from credit card companies. YOU MUST SEND US YOUR PROOF OF COVERAGE within 48 hours from booking confirmation and this is subject for approval. You coverage must show your name, policy number, coverage date and that it covers rentals. Once approved, you will need to provide the payment for the HSRS and a security deposit of $1000 which should be sent back to you assuming there are no claims filed.
