Nice clean little camper for 4. Nicely appointed but Bring a rug or mat for in front of camper & inside door. Longer water hose & electrical cord would be helpful. We were glad to have the generator for back up because the elec. cord was not always long enough. Know what you need and ask. Paul added a drip coffee machine & toaster for us. Bedding & towels were clean & nice. Beds were comfortable. A/C worked well

Torrey and Nick are absolute stars. Their Jayco trailer is as advertised. Clean roomie and all the amenities that a family could want on their adventure. Drop off, pick up and use of the fifth wheel was simple and straightforward. Torrey was responsive with all questions and an absolute delight to work with. Would certainly use her services again.

We rented this RV for a weekend getaway and had a fantastic experience. The RV was clean, well-stocked, and spacious! The owner gave us a quick instruction sheet so we felt comfortable using all the hookups and appliances. Everything worked as expected — fridge stayed cold, A/C kept us comfortable, and the beds were surprisingly cozy. Pick-up and drop-off were smooth, and the host was responsive to questions. It made our trip so much easier compared to tent camping. Highly recommend for a fun weekend adventure!”

Is my RV rental protected if something goes wrong?

Yes, every RVezy booking in Cascade Locks automatically includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can focus on the Columbia Gorge views instead of worst-case scenarios. When is the best time to visit Cascade Locks in an RV?

The sweet spot for RV camping Cascade Locks is mid-June through late September, when daytime highs sit in the comfortable 70s to mid-80s, rainfall drops to just an inch or two per month, and trails to Multnomah Falls and Eagle Creek are at their best. July and August are the warmest and driest months, while May, June, and September are gorgeous shoulder months with fewer crowds and lower nightly rates. Winter is wet and chilly with average highs in the 40s and occasional snow, but it can be magical if your RV has good heat. Pro tip: book a fall trip in late September for golden bigleaf maples along the Historic Columbia River Highway.

I've never driven an RV. Will I be okay in Cascade Locks?

Yes, and you're in the perfect spot for your first time renting an RV. Every RVezy host gives you a full orientation and walkthrough at pickup (or at your campsite if you choose delivery), covering everything from leveling jacks and slide-outs to tank dumping and propane. You can also message the host any time before booking with questions. Cascade Locks itself sits just off Interstate 84 with wide lanes and gentle grades, so the driving is far easier than mountain passes. For extra confidence, pick a smaller travel trailer or Class C motorhome and let the host deliver it. Pro tip: practice a few right turns in the spacious Marine Park lot before heading out on the Historic Columbia River Highway.

RVezy customer support is also available around the clock to help coordinate. Pro tip: save the roadside number and your host's number in your phone before you leave the driveway, and snap a photo of the RV's tire size and VIN so any service call is fast and smooth.

Can I take my Cascade Locks rental across state lines or into Canada?

Absolutely. An RV road trip from Cascade Locks naturally crosses the Columbia River into Washington (the Bridge of the Gods is right in town), and most RVezy hosts welcome multi-state travel through Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and California. Cross-border travel into Canada may be allowed depending on the specific host and insurance terms, so message the host directly through the listing before booking to confirm and ask about any paperwork needed at the border. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage does not extend there. Pro tip: a classic loop is Cascade Locks to Mount Rainier National Park (about 180 miles north) and back via Mount St. Helens, easily doable in 4 to 5 days.

What kind of fuel mileage and gas budget should I plan for?

Budgeting fuel for a Cascade Locks RV trip is straightforward. Class B campervans typically get 18 to 22 miles per gallon (MPG), Class C motorhomes average 10 to 14 MPG, Class A motorhomes 7 to 10 MPG, and a truck pulling a travel trailer lands around 10 to 13 MPG. Oregon gas prices often run above the national average, and stations in Cascade Locks and nearby Hood River are convenient stops right off I-84. Pro tip: fuel up in Troutdale on your way east where prices are typically lower, and keep speeds around 60 mph on the interstate, which can add 1 to 2 MPG over driving 70+.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Cascade Locks?

For the best campgrounds near Cascade Locks, book as early as you can, especially for June through September. Oregon State Parks like Ainsworth open reservations six months in advance through the official Oregon State Parks reservation system, and US Forest Service sites like Eagle Creek and Wyeth release sites six months out on Recreation.gov. Private parks like the Cascade Locks KOA and Port of Cascade Locks Marine Park accept reservations up to a year ahead and frequently sell out for holiday weekends. Pro tip: if you strike out on summer dates, try Tuesday through Thursday arrivals or aim for late September, when sites open up and the Gorge is at its quietest and most colorful.

What are the local driving conditions like around Cascade Locks?

Driving an RV around Cascade Locks is genuinely manageable. Interstate 84 runs right through town with wide lanes and modest grades. Watch for strong west-to-east winds funneling through the Gorge (it's a world windsurfing capital for a reason), which can push taller rigs around, especially near Hood River. The Historic Columbia River Highway has tight curves and strict vehicle length and weight restrictions, so check your RV's specs before heading toward Vista House and Multnomah Falls. In winter, traction tires or chains may be required on Mount Hood passes. Pro tip: check the TripCheck site from the Oregon Department of Transportation for real-time camera views and closures.

What hookups and amenities will I find at Cascade Locks campgrounds?

Most campgrounds near Cascade Locks make RV life easy. The Cascade Locks KOA offers full hookups (water, electric, sewer) and a dump station, Port of Cascade Locks Marine Park has sites with electric and water plus a central bathhouse, Ainsworth State Park provides electric and water with a shared dump station, while Eagle Creek and Wyeth are no-hookup forest sites with potable water spigots. Cell service is solid in town and around the Marine Park. Pro tip: top off fresh water before leaving Cascade Locks if you're heading into Mount Hood National Forest, where many beautiful sites are dry camping only.

What's included inside a typical RVezy rental in Cascade Locks?

You'll be impressed at how dialed-in these rigs are. A typical RVezy RV in Cascade Locks comes with comfortable beds (queens are standard, with bunks in family-friendly Class C motorhomes), a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, and cookware, a bathroom with toilet and shower, climate control with furnace and air conditioning, and seatbelts for everyone on board. Many listings include a TV, and some offer Wi-Fi hotspots or onboard generators for off-grid stays. Hosts often throw in linens, camp chairs, and outdoor mats too. Pro tip: read the listing's amenity list carefully and message the host if you want extras like a paddleboard or bike rack, since hosts often have add-ons perfect for a Columbia River day on the water.

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

RVezy hosts in Cascade Locks make it easy to customize. Popular add-ons include linen and kitchen kits, bike racks, generators, paddleboards or kayaks (perfect for the Columbia River), portable propane fire pits, and pet packages. Pickup is typically at the host's home or a meeting point near Cascade Locks or Portland, and many hosts also offer delivery and setup for a flat fee or per-mile rate. Mileage policies vary, with daily allowances usually between 100 and 200 free miles, and some hosts offering unlimited mileage for longer trips. Pro tip: bundle delivery, linens, and a generator at booking time and skip the pre-trip shopping run, which is the move seasoned Gorge renters swear by.

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment on RVezy is simple and secure. You pay through the platform with a credit card when you book (never directly to the host), and the charge includes the nightly rate, service fees, and your chosen protection plan. A refundable security deposit is held separately on your card before the trip begins, and it's released after a successful return assuming no damage or excess cleaning. To avoid issues, take time-stamped photos and a quick video of the RV at pickup and drop-off (interior and exterior), keep within your mileage allowance, and return the rig with the agreed fuel and tank levels. Pro tip: the orientation walkthrough is the perfect time to flag any pre-existing scratches with your host.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

Can I rent an RV in Cascade Locks during winter?

Yes, winter RVing in Cascade Locks is a legitimate adventure, especially with Mount Hood Meadows and Timberline ski areas just an hour away. Many RVezy hosts keep listings available year-round, and you can filter for rigs with heated holding tanks, insulated underbellies, and reliable furnaces, which are essential when overnight lows dip into the upper 20s and 30s°F from December through February. Plug into shore power at Cascade Locks KOA for unlimited heat, and pack tire chains since they're sometimes required on Highway 26 and Highway 35 toward Mount Hood. Pro tip: a snowy weekend at Trillium Lake followed by hot cocoa in your toasty motorhome is one of the most underrated Pacific Northwest experiences out there.
