Torrey was very helpful, friendly and super easy to work with. Her trailer was a great choice for my family’s glamping trip and she has everything you need in there. As a first time trailer renter pay for the add ons you will need because it makes it that much easier/convenient.

This motorhome was just what we needed for our family reunion get together. We flew into Portland OR, and made our short drive to Wards place with excellent directions. Ward walked us through all the steps needed and included videos if you have any trouble with instructions. The Motorhome drives so easy, and that diesel engine has no trouble pulling up hills. Hookup was easy, the grill worked perfectly and the electric awning was so nice to have on the sunny days. Perfect size for 2 adults and a couple kids if you have them. Checkout was a breeze, UBER picked us up and made our flight no problem! Would rent again if available next time.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Lincoln City?

A regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Lincoln City, Oregon. The state does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special endorsement for personal-use motorhomes and travel trailers under 26,000 pounds, which covers virtually every RV listed on RVezy. You'll need to be 25 or older, hold a valid driver's license, and complete a quick ID verification through the platform. Visiting from abroad? Pick up an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home country's auto association before you fly. That's it. You're ready to cruise Highway 101 and chase Pacific sunsets.

Can I bring my dog on a Lincoln City RV trip?

Absolutely, and Lincoln City is one of the most dog-friendly stretches of the Oregon Coast. Use the 'Pet-Friendly' filter on RVezy to find a pet-friendly RV rental Lincoln City hosts offer, then take your pup straight to the seven-mile leashed-dog beach that runs the length of town. Devil's Lake State Recreation Area allows leashed pets at campsites and even has five pet-friendly yurts (B-24, C-18, C-26, C-29, C-36) if you have friends tagging along without an RV. Pro tip: stop at the dog-friendly Tanger Outlets courtyard for a coffee break, then let your pup splash in the surf at D River State Recreation Site.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite in Lincoln City?

Yes, RV delivery Lincoln City hosts offer is one of the smartest ways to start your trip, especially if it's your first time. Many RVezy hosts will tow a travel trailer or drive a motorhome straight to Devil's Lake State Recreation Area, Premier RV Resort, KOA Lincoln City, or even a private driveway, level it, hook up utilities, and walk you through every system. Filter listings by 'Delivery' to see who serves your destination and what their delivery fee is (usually based on mileage from their location). It's the easiest way to skip driving Highway 101 in an unfamiliar rig and jump straight into beachcombing for glass floats.

Where can I camp with my RV in Lincoln City?

You have fantastic options for RV camping Lincoln City visitors love. Devil's Lake State Recreation Area sits inside city limits with full-hookup sites and yurts. Premier RV Resort on SE Highway 101 offers ocean-bluff views, a hot tub, and full hookups. Lincoln City KOA Journey on East Devils Lake Road has patio sites sheltered from coastal fog. Coyote Rock RV Park sits on the Siletz River, and Sea & Sand RV Park between Lincoln City and Depoe Bay puts you steps from the sand. Local tip: Devil's Lake books up months ahead for summer, so reserve as soon as the six-month window opens at oregonstateparks.reserveamerica.com.

When is the best time to rent an RV in Lincoln City?

July through September is the sweet spot. Lincoln City has a marine climate with summer highs in the upper 60s to low 70s Fahrenheit, very little rain, and long beach evenings. Locals will tell you September and early October are the secret season: warm sunshine, fewer crowds, lower rates, and far less coastal fog than mid-summer (inland heat pulls fog onto the beach in July and August). Winter brings dramatic storm-watching and average highs near 50°F with heavy rain, especially December (8+ inches). For a campervan rental Lincoln City trip with the best weather-to-price ratio, target the second half of September around the Fall Kite Festival.

I've never driven an RV. Will I be okay in Lincoln City?

You'll be just fine, and first-time renting an RV in Lincoln City is easier than most cities because Highway 101 through town is straight, well-marked, and built for RV traffic. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering driving, hookups, slide-outs, and the dump valves, so you leave knowing how everything works. If you'd rather skip driving entirely, choose a host offering delivery and setup. The trickiest local stretch is the curvy section of 101 between Lincoln City and Depoe Bay, just take it slow and use the pullouts. Pro tip: pick a Class C motorhome or campervan for your first trip. They drive much more like a large van than a bus.
oregon.gov/odot/pages/index.aspx

What happens if something goes wrong with the RV during my trip?

You are never on your own. Every RVezy rental includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, covering flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and towing if needed. If a system inside the RV acts up (fridge, generator, slide-out), your host is your first call: they know the rig better than anyone. RVezy customer support is also available to help mediate or arrange repairs. Local resources help too: there are RV service shops in nearby Newport (about 25 miles south) and Salem (about 55 miles east) if anything needs hands-on attention. Save both numbers in your phone at pickup and relax into your trip.

Can I take my Lincoln City RV rental out of state or into Canada?

Yes, most hosts welcome multi-state trips. An RV road trip from Lincoln City up the Pacific Coast Highway through Washington toward Olympic National Park is a classic. Cross-border travel into Canada depends on the host and their insurance, so message the listing directly before booking to confirm. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage does not extend there. Popular routes include heading north to Mount Rainier (about 5 hours), south to Redwood National Park in California (about 5.5 hours), or east through the Columbia River Gorge toward Bend (about 3.5 hours). Confirm mileage allowance with your host first.

How much should I budget for fuel on a Lincoln City RV trip?

Fuel is the biggest variable but easy to plan for. Campervans and Class B rentals typically get 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 MPG, and Class A coaches run 6 to 10 MPG. Regular gasoline in the Lincoln City area tends to run slightly above the U.S. average, so check current prices before you go. For a typical four-night trip with 200 to 300 driven miles, plan a few hundred dollars in fuel for a Class C. Pro tip: Oregon now allows self-service at most stations statewide, so you can fuel up your motorhome rental Lincoln City rig wherever is fastest.

How far in advance should I book campgrounds near Lincoln City?

For summer weekends at the best campgrounds near Lincoln City, book six months out, the exact day reservations open. Oregon State Parks (including Devil's Lake) uses oregonstateparks.reserveamerica.com with a rolling six-month booking window, and prime sites disappear within minutes for July and August. Premier RV Resort and Lincoln City KOA book directly through their websites and also fill fast in summer. For shoulder-season trips (May, September, October), you can often book two to four weeks ahead. Insider tip: if your dream weekend is sold out, use a cancellation alert service or message your RVezy host about boondocking-friendly options. Many hosts know overflow spots locals trust.

What are driving conditions like in and around Lincoln City?

Driving an RV in Lincoln City is generally relaxed: Highway 101 is the main artery, two to four lanes through town, and built for RV traffic with wide shoulders and big-rig-friendly fuel stops. Watch for two things specifically: coastal fog in summer mornings (slow down and use low beams) and the winding cliff section between Lincoln City and Depoe Bay where pullouts let faster traffic pass. Winter brings wind gusts on exposed bluffs and occasional fallen branches after storms. Avoid Highway 18 over the Coast Range in heavy rain when you can. Pro tip: leave Portland early to skip Highway 18's Friday-afternoon beach traffic, the drive west goes from 2 hours to 3.5 hours fast.

What amenities will I find at Lincoln City campgrounds?

Most full-service Lincoln City RV parks offer the works: 30/50-amp electric, water, sewer hookups, hot showers, laundry, and WiFi. Devil's Lake State Recreation Area has full-hookup sites, flush toilets, hot showers, and a hiker/biker camp, plus a dump station. Premier RV Resort adds cable TV, a hot tub, and a clubhouse. Need to dump tanks mid-trip? Most state parks along Highway 101 (including South Beach in Newport) have public dump stations for a small fee. Potable water fill stations are widely available. Pro tip: top off your fresh water tank before pulling into Devil's Lake, since the fill spigot can be busy on summer Fridays.

What's inside a typical RV rental in Lincoln City?

Expect a fully equipped home on wheels. Most Lincoln City RV rentals on RVezy include a queen or king bed, a kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave, and sink, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, dinette seating that converts to extra sleeping space, a furnace and air conditioning, a TV, and seatbelts for every traveling passenger. Many include a generator or solar setup for off-grid nights, plus an awning for beach gear. WiFi varies: your phone hotspot is usually faster than any built-in system. Hosts often include essentials like linens, dishes, and camp chairs. Always check the listing's amenities list and message the host if anything specific matters to you.

What add-ons and options can I get with my Lincoln City RV rental?

RVezy hosts in Lincoln City typically offer practical add-ons that make beach trips smoother: kitchen kits, linen and bedding packages, kayaks or bikes, generator use, propane refills, beach chairs, outdoor grills, and pet packages. Delivery and setup is the most popular add-on here, especially to Devil's Lake or KOA. Pickup and dropoff is usually at the host's home or a meeting spot near Highway 101; some hosts offer one-way arrangements between Lincoln City and Portland for an extra fee. Mileage policies vary, with most including 100 to 150 free miles per night and extra miles billed at a per-mile rate set by the host. Use the Delivery filter to narrow your match.

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and fully handled through the secure RVezy platform: no cash, no awkward owner exchanges. You pay your booking total (rental + protection + service fee) at the time of booking, and a refundable security deposit hold is placed on your card before pickup. Deposit amounts are set by the host and are separate from your booking payment. As long as the rig comes back in the same condition with the agreed mileage and a clean interior, the hold is released after the trip ends. Pro tip: do a quick walkaround photo or video at both pickup and dropoff. It is the easiest way to protect your deposit and start your next Lincoln City RV trip on the right foot.

Can I park my RV overnight on the beach or in town in Lincoln City?

For comfort and legality, plan to stay at a campground. Overnight parking on Lincoln City streets, in beach lots, and at trailheads is not permitted, and the city actively enforces this to protect the coast. Where to park an RV in Lincoln City overnight: Devil's Lake State Recreation Area (year-round), Premier RV Resort, Lincoln City KOA Journey, or Coyote Rock RV Park on the Siletz River. Chinook Winds Casino has offered limited self-contained RV parking for guests in the past, so call ahead to confirm availability. For a quick rest stop, the Lincoln City Outlets and grocery store lots are fine for a few daytime hours. If campgrounds are full, ask your RVezy host about private driveway stays.
