2020 nuCamp Micro Trailer
We are first time towers/trailer campers and Dan was so helpful, patient and clear with everything. He walked us through potential hiccups and scenarios, and gave us the rationale for each intervention. The trailer is advertised for 2 people, but I and my 3 tween ish children were able to sleep comfortably. The trailer is very easy to tow and maneuver, although difficult to reverse with. Dan's instructions were so clear that I never once had to call him during our 8 day trip. Here are some specifics... We tried to use the DVD player once, but weren't able to. Barely needed it anyway. A/C did cool, but may leave something to desire on very hot days The gas burners are quite small. Use only small pans that are easy to heat up . There is surprisingly so much storage space. Big bonus! The yeti cooler is absolutely amazing. Kept my things so cool for so long! Dan includes basic bed linens and kitchen supplies. Functional and compact.

What if I need to cancel my Atlanta RV trip?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy (not the host) sets the cancellation policy, and it includes a money-back grace period right after you book so you have breathing room to finalize plans. If life happens, like a work conflict, a family change, or even severe East Texas weather rolling through Cass County, RVezy's policy is designed to be fair to both guests and hosts, with additional flexibility around natural disasters. You won't see different cancellation rules on different listings because it is a platform-wide process. Pro tip: review the full policy on the RVezy Help Center before you confirm, and message the host with any timing questions so you are confident before you click Book.

Many RVezy hosts in the Atlanta area offer a pet-friendly RV rental in Atlanta, TX, just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter and you'll see exactly which rigs allow furry co-pilots (some hosts charge a small cleaning fee, which is shown upfront). The day-use area along the lakeshore is a favorite for a post-hike water break. Pro tip: pack a tie-out, a collapsible water bowl, and bring proof of rabies vaccination in case a campground host asks.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite in Atlanta?

Yes, RV delivery in Atlanta is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it's a game-changer if it's your first time renting an RV. Many local hosts will tow the RV directly to Atlanta State Park (927 Park Road 42), Wright Patman Lake Corps of Engineers sites like Rocky Point, or even a private driveway in Queen City or Linden. They'll level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system before handing over the keys. You skip the towing learning curve entirely and start your vacation the second you arrive. Filter by Delivery on the listing page and message the host with your campsite number to confirm the drop-off fee, which is usually based on mileage from their home base.

How far can I drive, and are there RV rentals with unlimited mileage?

Plenty of Atlanta hosts offer generous mileage packages, and some list RV rentals with unlimited mileage, perfect if you're planning a longer Texas road trip from Atlanta. Most listings include 100 to 150 free miles per night, with extra miles around $0.30 to $0.50 each. That's more than enough for a weekend at Wright Patman Lake (11 miles), Caddo Lake State Park (about 60 miles south), or a Texarkana day trip (just 25 miles up Highway 59). When is the best time of year for an Atlanta, TX RV trip?

Fall is the sweet spot for an Atlanta, TX RV trip. From mid-October through November, daytime highs settle in the 60s to 80s, mornings cool to the 40s and 50s, humidity drops, and the East Texas Piney Woods light up with hardwood color along Wright Patman Lake. Spring (March to May) is a close second, with dogwoods blooming and bass fishing in full swing. Winters are mild (typically 40s to 60s) and quiet, making them perfect for birding, woodpeckers and pine warblers are everywhere. Pro tip: book a fall weekend at Atlanta State Park as soon as the five-month reservation window opens.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I know how to use everything?

You're going to feel like a pro by the end of pickup day. They'll answer every question, no matter how small. You can also message your host before booking to ask anything, and RVezy's 24/7 customer support is one tap away if a question comes up at midnight at your campsite. First time renting an RV in Atlanta? Pick a smaller Class C or travel trailer, choose delivery to Atlanta State Park, and let the host set it up for you.

What happens if I break down or have a problem on the road?

You are never on your own. Every motorhome rental in Atlanta booked through RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, covering flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, towing, and mechanical issues. One phone call and help is dispatched, whether you are at a truck stop in Texarkana, deep in the pines on FM 96 near Atlanta State Park, or pulled over on Highway 59. Your host is also reachable by message, and RVezy's support team handles bigger issues like arranging alternate accommodations. Pro tip: save the roadside number in your phone before you leave the pickup spot and snap a photo of the RV's VIN and license plate so you can share it instantly if needed.

Can I take my Atlanta RV rental across state lines to Arkansas or Louisiana?

Yes, an RV road trip from Atlanta is built for crossing borders. Atlanta sits right at the Three States junction where Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana meet, and most RVezy hosts allow travel throughout the lower 48 states. Popular routes include Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas (about 140 miles, 2.5 hours), Shreveport, Louisiana (75 miles, 90 minutes), and the cypress swamps of Caddo Lake (60 miles). Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance doesn't extend there. Heading to Canada is sometimes allowed with host approval, just message the host through the listing before booking to confirm. Pro tip: a Texas-Arkansas-Louisiana loop through Texarkana makes an unforgettable long weekend.

What kind of fuel mileage should I expect, and how much will gas cost?

Budgeting is easier than you think. Class C motorhomes you'll rent in Atlanta typically get 8 to 12 mpg, Class A rigs get 6 to 10 mpg, and a truck pulling a travel trailer averages around 10 to 14 mpg. With Texas gas prices typically running below the national average (often around $2.80 to $3.20 per gallon in the Atlanta/Texarkana area), a weekend round-trip from Atlanta to Caddo Lake State Park and back (about 120 miles) usually costs $30 to $50 in fuel for a midsize Class C. Pro tip: the Pilot Travel Center and Loves at the I-30 Exit 220A interchange in Texarkana are the cheapest, easiest big-rig fill-ups before heading south on Highway 59.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Atlanta?

Book early and you'll lock in the prime spots. Atlanta State Park opens campsite reservations exactly five months in advance through the Texas State Parks reservation system (Reserve America), and summer holiday weekends like Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day sell out within hours of the window opening. For spring and fall weekends, three months ahead is usually safe; weekdays are often bookable a few days out. Wright Patman Lake's Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds (Rocky Point, Piney Point) take reservations six months out via Recreation.gov. Pro tip: set a calendar reminder for exactly five months before your trip at 8 a.m. Central, that's when the best lakeview sites at Knights Bluff get snapped up.

What are the roads like for driving an RV around Atlanta, TX?

Driving an RV around Atlanta is refreshingly relaxed compared to big-city Texas. The main routes (US-59, US-77, and US-82) are wide, well-maintained two-to-four-lane highways with gentle terrain through the Piney Woods, no mountain passes, no tight switchbacks. Traffic is light outside of Texarkana rush hour. The drive into Atlanta State Park along FM 1154 narrows to a quiet rural road with overhanging pines, easy for any RV up to 40 feet. Watch for occasional logging trucks on FM 96 and afternoon thunderstorms in summer that can drop visibility quickly. Pro tip: avoid driving I-30 through Texarkana on Friday afternoons; loop south on Loop 151 instead to stay stress-free.

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Atlanta, TX?

Local campgrounds are well-equipped for a comfortable stay. At Atlanta State Park, all 58 sites have water and 30/50-amp electric hookups, with 14 sites offering full sewer hookups; the park has a dump station, clean restrooms with hot showers, a swim beach on Wright Patman Lake, two boat ramps, a fish-cleaning station, and a small store for ice and supplies. Amazing Acres RV Park and Lost Lake RV Park both offer full hookups, Wi-Fi, and laundry. To fill fresh water or dump tanks outside the parks, the Pilot in Texarkana on I-30 has a public RV dump and potable water fill. Pro tip: bring at least 25 feet of fresh-water hose, some Atlanta State Park sites have the spigot set back from the pad.

What's actually inside the RVs I can rent in Atlanta?

You'll be impressed by how much fits inside. A typical campervan rental in Atlanta sleeps two to four with a galley kitchen and convertible bed, while Class C motorhomes sleep four to seven with a full kitchen (fridge, microwave, three-burner stove, oven), a wet bath with shower and toilet, an indoor dinette, and a queen bed over the cab. Most rigs include air conditioning (essential for East Texas summers), heat, a propane water heater, a generator or shore-power setup, a TV with DVD, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many hosts add Wi-Fi hotspots, outdoor speakers, and starter kits with linens. Each listing photos out the exact layout, so you'll know precisely what you're getting before booking.

What add-ons and pickup options can I choose for my Atlanta RV rental?

You can customize your trip to match exactly how you want to camp. Popular RVezy add-ons in Atlanta include bedding and towel packages ($25 to $75), camping chairs and outdoor tables ($15 to $30), generators ($30 to $50 per day for boondocking at Wright Patman Lake's primitive sites), kayaks and SUPs (perfect for the lake), bike racks, and pet kits. Pickup is usually at the host's home base in Atlanta, Queen City, Linden, or Texarkana, with most hosts offering a 24-hour pickup-to-return window. Mileage policies vary: 100 to 150 free miles per night is typical, with unlimited options available. Pro tip: bundle delivery, setup, and a generator if you're heading to a primitive Corps of Engineers site, it's the easiest way to camp lakeside.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and secure. When you book your RV rental in Atlanta through RVezy, you pay the full rental cost (nightly rate, fees, taxes, and protection plan) through the platform with a credit or debit card, never directly to the host. A refundable security deposit is held separately before pickup; the exact amount is shown on each listing and varies by RV. As long as you return the RV in the same condition you got it, with the agreed mileage and a clean interior, the deposit is released back to you, usually within a few days after the trip. Pro tip: take date-stamped photos of the RV's interior, exterior, and mileage at pickup and return to make the deposit release fast and painless.
