We are first time towers/trailer campers and Dan was so helpful, patient and clear with everything. He walked us through potential hiccups and scenarios, and gave us the rationale for each intervention. The trailer is advertised for 2 people, but I and my 3 tween ish children were able to sleep comfortably. The trailer is very easy to tow and maneuver, although difficult to reverse with. Dan's instructions were so clear that I never once had to call him during our 8 day trip. Here are some specifics... We tried to use the DVD player once, but weren't able to. Barely needed it anyway. A/C did cool, but may leave something to desire on very hot days The gas burners are quite small. Use only small pans that are easy to heat up . There is surprisingly so much storage space. Big bonus! The yeti cooler is absolutely amazing. Kept my things so cool for so long! Dan includes basic bed linens and kitchen supplies. Functional and compact.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Benton, LA

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Benton, LA?

Renting an RV in Benton is generally more affordable than big-city Louisiana markets. Travel trailers near Benton average around $100 to $150 per night, while motorhomes typically run about $175 to $250 per night, and many hosts offer weekly or monthly discounts. To score a cheap RV rental in Benton, aim for shoulder seasons like March or October, choose a travel trailer instead of a Class A, and message the host about multi-night discounts. Weekday pickups around Cypress Black Bayou often unlock better pricing, since weekend lake traffic from Shreveport and Bossier City drives demand up.

What if my plans change after I book my Benton RV rental?

Booking an RV rental in Benton is low risk because RVezy, not the individual host, sets the cancellation policy at the platform level. Cancellation outcomes depend on how far out you cancel relative to your trip start, which matters in north Louisiana where spring thunderstorms can pop up fast. You won't see different cancellation rules on each listing, since this is handled centrally by RVezy. Book your dates as soon as Cypress Black Bayou camping calendars open up, and reach out to RVezy support if a severe weather event or family emergency forces a change.

When is the best time to rent an RV in Benton, LA?

The sweet spot for an RV trip in Benton runs from mid-March through May and again from late September through early November, when daytime highs sit in the comfortable 65 to 80 degree Fahrenheit range and humidity drops off. Book around the Benton Christmas Parade or spring crappie season for the most local flavor, and shoulder seasons usually mean lower nightly rates too.

For last-minute trips, try Tuesday through Thursday arrivals or check cancellations 7 to 10 days out. What are driving conditions like around Benton, LA?

Driving conditions in and around Benton are about as RV-friendly as it gets: flat to gently rolling terrain, wide rural highways like LA-3 and LA-160, and very little congestion outside of Shreveport-Bossier rush hour on I-20 (roughly 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.). Watch out for sudden spring and summer thunderstorms, slick bridges after rain, and the occasional deer at dawn and dusk on parish roads. Hurricanes rarely hit this far inland, but severe weather and tornado watches can pop up March through May, so keep an eye on NOAA Weather Radio. Avoid downtown Shreveport's older bridges with low clearance, stick to I-20 and I-220 in a tall rig, and you'll have smooth sailing through Bossier Parish.
