The Best Outdoor Activities in Tulsa, OK [For RVers]

Tulsa, Oklahoma, is an ideal destination for RVers. Whether you're passing through the city or staying for a few days, you'll find everything from miles of multi-use trails and secluded gardens to lake and river activities. Tulsa is also known for its fairs, festivals, and other large events, and it's a main stop along Route 66. Check out everything you can see and do while you're in Tulsa.

Get outside

Spend the day exploring Tulsa on foot to see the best parts of the city. Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness Area has over 300 acres of trails, trees, and wildlife, and it's located just minutes from downtown Tulsa. You can traverse the area on foot, bike, or horseback, sit by a pond, or take the kids to the climbing area.

Should you want a more structured activity, visit Philbrook Gardens. At Philbrook Gardens, you can take a relaxing stroll through the gardens, explore historic architecture, or go on an interactive museum tour. Philbrook Gardens also has activities available, including art classes, gardening workshops, and guided tours. Still, if you feel like spending time alone, you can watch for birds or relax in the calm atmosphere.

Play on the water

Tulsa is a great place to get out and enjoy the water. There's something for everyone, from water skiing to fishing, paddling, and swimming. Try wakeboarding in Keystone Lake or kayaking on the Arkansas River for some adventure.
