Campgrounds and RV parks near Port Alice, BC

The sheltered waters of Neroutsos Inlet and Quatsino Sound are the main draw. Salmon and halibut fishing, prawning, and wildlife viewing for orca, humpbacks, and sea otters are common day trips from the marina, and the inlet offers many sheltered bays suited to kayaking and diving. On land, the Marble River Trail leads to Bear Falls, and the Rumble Ridge mountain bike trails behind the village serve both beginners and experienced downhill riders. Explorers also seek out Devil's Bath, Disappearing River, and Eternal Fountain, unusual limestone features that are part of a karst system honeycombing the region. Cell coverage is reliable along Highway 19 and in the villages but drops on logging roads and around remote inlets. Roads to the main campgrounds listed above are paved. Access to many nearby recreation sites requires navigating active forest service roads where logging traffic demands attentive driving on weekdays; activity is lighter on weekends, but headlights should stay on at all times. This is bear and cougar country. Store food in the RV, use provided bear-safe bins where posted, and keep pets leashed. Bring rain gear year-round, layered clothing, and mosquito protection for estuary and lake sites.
