Campgrounds and RV parks near Arlington, GA

Arlington sits in rural southwest Georgia, in Calhoun County, roughly a half-hour drive from Blakely and about an hour from Albany. The surrounding region is quiet farm country dotted with pine forests, hardwood bottomlands, and the Flint and Chattahoochee river systems. For RV travelers, it works well as a low-traffic base for river fishing, state historic sites, and slow scenic drives. The closest full-service option is Kolomoki Mounds Historic Park, a Georgia state park just outside Blakely at 205 Indian Mounds Road, which is the standout draw in the area. Private RV parks in the wider region include Koi RV Resort and City Limits RV Resort, plus Rocky Bend Flint River Retreat on the Flint River in Baker County near Newton. Across the state line, Omussee Creek Park sits on the eastern side of Alabama along the Chattahoochee River, close to the Alabama-Georgia state line. Together these campgrounds give travelers a mix of state-park camping, riverfront sites, and simple hookup parks within an easy drive of Arlington.

Kolomoki Mounds uses the Georgia State Parks system. Reservations are available through Georgia State Parks ReserveAmerica, and a ParkPass is required (daily or annual). Overnight guests pay the daily ParkPass fee only once per vehicle during their stay, regardless of duration, and parking is not included with the reservation. For reservation inquiries call 1-800-864-7275, and for park inquiries contact the park at 229-724-2151. The park has 25 site-specific tent, trailer and RV campsites, so weekends fill quickly in spring and fall. Private parks handle bookings directly. Rocky Bend Flint River Retreat, Koi RV Resort, City Limits RV Resort, and Omussee Creek RV Park each take reservations through their own operator sites or by phone, so contact them directly for site availability rather than through a state portal.
