Fox Ridge State Park has ridges and ravines with moderate hiking trails, popular with hikers and mushroom hunters, plus fishing access on the Embarras River and the 13-acre Ridge Lake. Walnut Point centers on a stream-fed 59-acre lake with multiple finger-like coves, and kayak rentals, bait, and snacks are available at the concession. Families staying at Casey KOA can walk or bike into town to see Casey's giant wind chime, golf tee, knitting needles, and crochet hook, all recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest of their kind. The Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site is nearby, a working living history farm once owned by Abraham Lincoln's father and stepmother. Mill Creek Park adds boating, fishing, and roughly 15 miles of designated ATV and OHV trails.
