Campgrounds and RV parks near Goodland, IN

Goodland is a small town in Newton County in northwest Indiana, roughly midway between Lafayette and the Illinois state line along US-24. The surrounding landscape is flat farm country, and most RV camping options sit within a 30 to 45 minute drive along I-65, US-41, and State Road 10. Nearby communities include Kentland, DeMotte, Lake Village, Fair Oaks, and Francesville. The closest private parks include Newton County Fairgrounds in Kentland, Oak Lake RV Resort in Fair Oaks, Pioneer Family Campground, Inc. in Lake Village, and Lake Holiday Camp-Resort in DeMotte. Acorn Oaks Campground in Francesville sits farther south, closer to the Tippecanoe River corridor. Most properties in this area are family-run private campgrounds rather than state or federal sites, so amenities, hookup levels, and activity programs vary widely. Travelers passing through on I-65 typically use these parks as overnight or weekend bases while visiting Fair Oaks Farms, Indiana Beach, or the Jasper-Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area.

Most private campgrounds in the area accept online reservations through their own websites or third-party platforms. Lake Holiday Camp-Resort uses Campspot for booking. Acorn Oaks and Oak Lake accept reservations through their own sites, and seasonal sites at Oak Lake must be booked by phone rather than online. Policies vary. Lake Holiday requires payment in full at the time of the reservation request, with cancellations needing at least ten days notice before arrival to receive a refund less a service charge. Weekends at Lake Holiday carry a two-night minimum, and holiday weekends carry a three-night minimum. For summer holidays and event weekends, booking six to eight weeks out is advisable, especially for full-hookup pull-through sites that fit larger rental rigs.
