Campgrounds and RV parks near Reynolds, IN

Reynolds sits in White County in north-central Indiana at the junction of U.S. 24 and State Road 43, roughly 30 miles north of Lafayette and about 10 miles south of Monticello. The town is a common turnoff for RV travelers heading to the Lake Shafer and Lake Freeman recreation area, and I-65 exit 178 northwest of Lafayette feeds State Road 43 north, connecting to U.S. 24 at Reynolds and into Monticello. Most campgrounds in the area cluster along the two Tippecanoe River reservoirs just north of town. Lost Acres RV Park sits near the Lake Shafer and Lake Freeman recreation area, with wooded sites shaded by mature trees, and the Indiana Beach / Monticello KOA Holiday is located within the Indiana Beach Amusement Resort steps from Lake Shafer, with easy access to swimming, mini golf, fishing and playgrounds. Acorn Oaks Campground and Big Fish-n-Camp Ground round out the private options closer to the lakes. For a public-land alternative, Prophetstown State Park sits about 30 miles south near Battle Ground and offers a modern campground with 110 RV spots, all with electric hookups and roughly half with full hookups.

For Prophetstown State Park, use the Indiana DNR reservation system online or by phone. Reservations must be made at least two days ahead of arrival and can be booked up to twelve months in advance. Full-hookup sites in the Spruce Loop are usually the first to fill, so book early for that loop. Sites are not designated first-come, first-served, though unreserved sites may be available for walk-up with no guarantee. The Indiana Beach / Monticello KOA Holiday books through the KOA website or by phone directly with the campground. Lost Acres RV Park, Acorn Oaks Campground and Big Fish-n-Camp Ground are independent operations that take reservations by phone or through their own websites, with holiday weekends and Indiana Beach event dates the first to fill.
