Campgrounds and RV parks near Cut Off, LA

Cut Off sits along Bayou Lafourche in southern Lafourche Parish, roughly an hour and a half south of New Orleans on LA-1. The town is surrounded by working waterways, marsh, and sugarcane country, and it functions as a jumping-off point for anglers and boaters heading toward Grand Isle and the Gulf. RV options directly inside Cut Off are limited, so most travelers base themselves at parks in the wider region and drive in. The closest developed public campground is Bayou Segnette State Park in Westwego, which offers water and electric sites on the West Bank of the Mississippi with a separate dump station on site. Private RV parks cluster around Houma to the west and the New Orleans metro area to the north, including South Houma RV Park, Capri Court Motorhome Park, Miles Away Properties, and New Orleans KOA Holiday. Expect flat terrain, oak and cypress cover, and easy pull-through access at most private parks. Cell service is generally reliable along the LA-1 corridor but weakens in the surrounding marsh.

Bayou Segnette State Park is managed by Louisiana State Parks and takes reservations through the state reservation system at reservations.gooutdoorslouisiana.com or by phone at 1-877-CAMP-N-LA. The park is open year-round, and sites for Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras, and French Quarter Festival weekends book out early, so lock those dates as far ahead as the window allows. Private parks such as South Houma RV Park, Capri Court Motorhome Park, and New Orleans KOA Holiday accept direct online or phone bookings and generally allow shorter lead times outside major events. Miles Away Properties operates as a smaller private option and is best confirmed directly with the operator. Before arrival, confirm rig-length limits, hookup amperage, and any restrictions on generators or open fires, which vary by park and by burn-ban status in the parish.
