Campgrounds and RV parks near Brooksville, MS

Brooksville sits in east-central Mississippi's Noxubee County, along US Highway 45 between Macon and Starkville. The town is small and rural, but it serves as a practical base for RV travelers heading to Sam D. Hamilton Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge, Mississippi State University in Starkville, and the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway to the east. RV options range from simple full-hookup lots to larger destination parks. Country Dogs RV Park and Mill Creek RV Park offer straightforward hookup sites suited to overnight or short stays, while Indian Mound Campground Resort, located near Starkville, provides a more amenity-focused stop with 50 amp service and a fishing pond. Mississippi Horse Park in Starkville hosts equestrian and livestock events and offers RV parking tied to those shows. Parkwood RV Park rounds out the local list of full-service parks. Expect a mix of privately owned parks rather than a large state or federal campground within the town limits. Reservations typically go direct through each park by phone or website, and college-town demand from nearby Mississippi State can tighten availability on event weekends.

Private RV parks around Brooksville, including Country Dogs RV Park, Mill Creek RV Park, Indian Mound Campground Resort, and Parkwood RV Park, generally accept reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Availability is typically confirmed on booking, with deposits and cancellation windows set by each operator. Mississippi Horse Park RV camping is tied to the event calendar and booked through the venue for show participants and attendees. Federal recreation sites in the wider region, such as Corps of Engineers campgrounds along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, use Recreation.gov and open on a rolling six-month booking window at 10 a.m. Eastern. Book well ahead for Mississippi State football weekends, graduation, and major horse park events, when parks near Starkville fill first.
