Campgrounds and RV parks near Bude, MS

Bude sits in southwest Mississippi's Piney Woods, surrounded by the Homochitto National Forest and within easy driving distance of Natchez, Brookhaven, and McComb. The town is a practical base for RV travelers who want lake access, wooded sites, and short hops to state parks and river towns without the crowds of a major destination. RV visitors typically split nights between Mississippi state park campgrounds and privately run RV parks in nearby towns. Campground A at Natchez State Park lies about a half hour west and offers a mix of full and partial hookup sites on a bass-famous lake. Percy Quin State Park anchors the McComb side of the region with full-hookup sites overlooking Lake Tangipahoa. McComb KOA, Lincoln Civic Center RV Park in Brookhaven, and Plantation RV Park round out the private options with paved pads, hookups, and easy access to I-55. Terrain is rolling loess hills and pine forest, and some forest roads have steep grades, so travelers with larger rigs should plan routes carefully.

Mississippi state park campsites, including Campground A at Natchez State Park and Percy Quin State Park, are reserved through the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. Reservations can be made up to 12 months in advance by phone or through the state's online reservation portal. Bookings must be made at least two days ahead of arrival, and the person booking must be 21 or older. Generators are not allowed in Natchez State Park unless the park manager approves in advance. Clear Springs Recreation Area in the Homochitto National Forest was added to Recreation.gov in 2025, and even-numbered sites, the group site, and the picnic pavilion can now be reserved online or by phone. Odd-numbered sites remain first-come, first-served and are paid at the front kiosk. Private parks such as McComb KOA, Lincoln Civic Center RV Park, and Plantation RV Park take reservations directly through their websites or by phone.
