Campgrounds and RV parks near Morgantown, MS

Morgantown sits in southwest Mississippi, a short drive from Natchez and the Mississippi River corridor. RV travelers use it as a quiet base for exploring the Natchez Trace Parkway, antebellum Natchez, and the string of lakes on both sides of the river. Full-hookup private parks cluster near Vidalia and Natchez, while public campgrounds sit on nearby lakes. River View RV Park And Resort and Plantation RV Park are the closest full-service private options and cater to big rigs and longer stays. For a more natural setting, Natchez State Park has two campgrounds and one primitive camping area located in a wooded setting next to Natchez Lake, with 58 total sites, most reservable, and all with water and electric hookups. Campground A is the furthest campground away from the lake and features the smallest number of sites, with 21 spots available. Across the river in Louisiana, Lakeview Paradise RV Park and Lake Bruin State Park add lake-focused options within roughly an hour of Morgantown. Lake Bruin covers over 3,000 acres of water surface, and the 53-acre park site was originally established in 1928 as a fish hatchery.
