Campgrounds and RV parks near China, TX

China is a small town in Jefferson County, Texas, positioned just west of Beaumont along US Highway 90 and within easy reach of Interstate 10. The area sits in the Golden Triangle of Southeast Texas, roughly halfway between Houston and the Louisiana border, and serves as a practical base for RV travelers exploring the Piney Woods to the north and the Gulf Coast to the south. Campground options close to China lean toward full-hookup RV parks rather than developed public campgrounds. Hidden Lake RV Resort and Gulf Coast RV Resort offer big-rig-friendly sites within a short drive of Beaumont's services, while Mobile Manor R.V. Park and Parts caters to travelers who want a simpler, longer-stay setup. Winnie Inn Suites and RV Park sits south along I-10 toward the coast, and Old Time Trade Days Flea Market provides a stopover option tied to its monthly market weekends. The region sits within the humid subtropical Piney Woods of eastern Texas and receives the most rainfall in the state, more than 65 inches annually, so site drainage and shade matter when picking a spot.

Private RV parks around China, including Hidden Lake RV Resort, Gulf Coast RV Resort, Mobile Manor R.V. Park and Parts, and Winnie Inn Suites and RV Park, typically take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Call ahead in the cooler months, when snowbirds and industrial workers fill long-term sites in the Beaumont-Port Arthur corridor. For Texas state parks such as Village Creek and Sea Rim, book through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department reservation system. Most overnight camping and lodging reservations may be made up to five months in advance, and the reservation window opens at 8 a.m. Central Time. A camping reservation does not always include the daily entrance fee, so plan on separate day passes or a Texas State Parks Pass. Late arrivals must check in at the park office before noon of the day after the scheduled arrival, or the remainder of the reservation may be cancelled.
