Campgrounds and RV parks near Daisetta, TX

Daisetta sits in Liberty County in southeast Texas, roughly an hour northeast of Houston and within easy driving distance of the Big Thicket region. The town is small and rural, and most RV camping in the area happens at private parks strung along nearby highways, with public land access focused on the units of Big Thicket National Preserve. Highway 90 RV Resort and Texas Palms RV Park serve travelers looking for full hookups close to town, while Rio RV Park and Country Pines RV Park offer additional options for longer stays or overnight stopovers. For a nature-first trip, Big Thicket National Preserve consists of nine land units and six water corridors encompassing more than 113,000 acres, and the Lance Rosier Unit lies just south of Daisetta. The national preserve protects the diversity of life found where multiple habitats meet in southeast Texas, with hiking trails and waterways meandering through varied ecosystems, from longleaf pine forests to cypress-lined bayous. Most RV travelers base at a private park and day-trip into the preserve.

Private RV parks around Daisetta, including Highway 90 RV Resort, Texas Palms RV Park, Rio RV Park, and Country Pines RV Park, typically take reservations directly by phone or through their websites. Call ahead for pull-through availability, big-rig clearance, and monthly-rate policies, especially if traveling with a larger fifth-wheel or Class A. For Texas state parks in the broader region, reservations open five months in advance on a rolling basis at 8:00 AM Central Time, which is shorter than most states, so timing is critical for popular parks. Bookings can be made online through the Texas State Parks reservation portal or by phone. Backcountry camping inside Big Thicket works differently: it is available with a free permit from the visitor center. That option is for tents and backpackers, not RVs.
