Campgrounds and RV parks near Kirbyville, TX

Kirbyville sits in Jasper County in the Piney Woods of deep East Texas, roughly 15 miles south of Jasper and within reach of the Neches River, B.A. Steinhagen Reservoir, and Sam Rayburn Reservoir. The area is heavily forested, flat to gently rolling, and dominated by pine plantations, hardwood bottoms, and slow-moving rivers, which sets the tone for most nearby camping. RV options around town range from small independent parks to a large state park. Whispering Creek RV Park and Motel and Country Club Park RV Resort sit close to Kirbyville itself, while Red Cloud RV Park and Triple Creek RV Music Park are within a short drive for travelers wanting music-park amenities or quieter, longer-stay sites. For public-land camping, Walnut Ridge - Martin Dies Jr State Park on B.A. Steinhagen Reservoir is the main draw, offering lakefront and slough-side sites inside a Texas Parks and Wildlife property. Most visitors use Kirbyville as a base for fishing, paddling, and forest driving loops through Angelina and Sabine National Forests.

Sites at Walnut Ridge - Martin Dies Jr State Park are reserved through the Texas State Parks system, operated on ReserveAmerica. The park has campsites with water and electric hookups, and many sit next to the lake or a slough. Reservations can be made up to five months in advance, and the park frequently reaches capacity, so day-use entry passes are also worth booking ahead. Private parks near Kirbyville, including Whispering Creek RV Park and Motel, Country Club Park RV Resort, Red Cloud RV Park, and Triple Creek RV Music Park, are booked directly with each property by phone or through their own websites. For weekends in the state park busy season, from March through Independence Day and September through Thanksgiving, book well ahead and confirm rig length and hookup type when reserving.
