Discover The Pas

The Pas community is one of the oldest and most striking settlements in northern Manitoba. Boasting one of the three true blue lakes in existence outdoor adventure abounds set to the raw natural beauty that attracts visitors from around the world. The traditional meeting place between Native trappers and the French and English fur traders has grown beyond its longstanding resources of trapping and fishing to truly become the Gateway to the North – a bountiful, proud, and progressive community now firmly based upon a solid and diversified industrial foundation of agriculture, forestry, transportation, and tourism. In each of its four distinct seasons, The Pas offers unique recreational activities and a variety of cultural attractions such as the Trapper’s Festival, Agricultural Fair, and Opaskwayak Indian days.
Grass River is a great place to get in touch with history and nature all at once - it is one of the places important explorers and traders mapped out and knew well in the early days of Confederation. It's a great place for boating, kayaking, and canoeing plus it offers excellent fishing. You'll also catch a glimpse of lots of wildlife, including Caribou, moose, and lots of native species of birds. You can also count on beautiful trails to explore by foot or on bike. You can reserve lots with power and water on Reed Lake, part of the network of lakes and rivers that make up Grass River Provincial.
Visit Clearwater Lake for some of the most stunning and unique waters you'll ever see. The water is incredibly clear and nice, giving you the perfect place to go fishing for trophy catches or go for the best swim of your life. The park also has beautiful natural scenery, with lots of trails and overlooks. You'll want to make sure you check out 'the caves' for some excellent pictures! You can spend the day or a whole week here, as the park offers camping and lodging as well as enough to do to keep any traveler happy.
