Denali's Doorstep: Step outside on an Alaskan Adventure

Denali's Doorstep is the name we've chosen for our 30' Class C Motorhome in Willow, Alaska. That is because it takes us to our favorite place in Alaska - Denali National Park...and all we have to do is walk out the door to adventure. As a retired Air Force family, we've explored almost every major road in the state! We love Alaska so much that we changed our residency, put down roots, and purchased a piece of property - just outside of Denali in the skirts of Cantwell. We have built one of the most amazing, scenic, beautiful, remote, Alaskan dry camping cabin destinations in the state there. It's a MUST see! And staying at the site (through Air B n B) for a day or two, could be part of your Alaskan Adventure. But, when you have an RV, you're not tied to just one place. It's fun to jump from location to location. With a huge slide out, generator, large holding tanks, and plenty of storage, you and your family will be enjoying Alaska in the most comfortable and exciting way possible! Need some recommendations? Start across the street from us at the Willow Creek State Campground and fish the Willow Creek for Salmon or stay at Nancy Lakes Campground. Then, head north to Denali National Park to see the tallest mountain in North America. Stop in Talkeetna along the way to enjoy the best burger you'll ever have at the West Rib. With so much to see, you'll hate wasting the daylight sleeping! But there's nothing better than being able to just pull over and take a quick nap while your family prepares lunch in the kitchen. After Denali head south past Anchorage and stop for some ice cream at Summit Lake Lodge on your way to your fishing stop on the Kenai. Then head down to Homer to see the mountains drop into the ocean and catch a Halibut or two. Visit Seward on the way back to enjoy the aquarium and go on a halibut charter. You're going to LOVE your Alaskan adventure with Denali's Doorstep! NOTE: We live in Willow, AK (about 1.5 hrs north of Anchorage) and won't be able to deliver the RV to you. You must come to us - UNLESS we have availability in our schedule and charge a delivery fee. Most guests just capture an Uber to us.
