- James M.Jun 2026Had a great RV rental experience with Ernie. Ernie was incredibly responsive and accommodating to our pickup and drop off schedule. The RV itself was clean, well maintained, and perfect for our family of 4. The generator runs on propane (as opposed to the truck’s diesel), which is very efficient… not that we needed to use it much. Towards the end of our trip the rear bedroom slide experienced a malfunction- one side wouldn’t deploy. We worked with Ernie to figure out the issue, but it was beyond our capability to fix ourselves on the trip. We had to rearrange our sleeping locations but made it work. While not ideal, it wasn’t really Ernie’s fault and we got the impression this issue has never happened before. After we returned the RV, Ernie was able to get the issue fixed quickly. I wouldn’t let that prevent you from renting from Ernie in the future; it seemed to be just some bad luck. We’d happily rent from Ernie again!
