- Unfortunately, not quite what I was expecting. Although everything was functional the RV was showing its age with parts held together by duct tape. Laura was helpfull when she responded to my messages, but that wasn’t all the time especially when asking how to get the heating working.
- 1.3NSNicholas S.Aug 2026I expected old furnishings from an old motorhome, but unfortunately walked in a disaster of one. This is a list of the issues we encountered. Large crack through center of windshield, and cardboard peeling off site exhaust system. Not an immediate concern but shows lack of financial commitment from exterior, not visible in advertised photos. The front cabin seam at top of bed came loose and fell on bed with exposed nails sticking out of the trim. The front cabin center seam leaked water during rain making our luggage wet. Main cabin door would sometimes get jammed leading to only using front doors for access. All of the receptacles had no power to charge phones or use small appliances. The fridge had terrible odour, luckily our friend had a cooler to store our perishables. There was mice throughout cabin, keeping us up at night, rummaging through our food and having us to throw out some groceries. There was mouse droppings present in stove, so we decided to not use that either due to sanitary and health concern. The mice living in lower drawers and large amounts of poop present if you removed drawers. There was also mice droppings present on linens and blankets on rear bed, and thankfully our friends brought us extras to use so we could put the soiled ones aside. Under the stove occasionally cold air would blow out. Water fill cap was missing on this unit, and I feel that an animal has crawled into and died, since the water is browning and smelled terrible foul. After one hand wash we opted out of running the water due to the smell. Hole in side of unit is where rodents climb into.
- Host communicated well and was very flexible with pick up and drop off. The motorhome came outfitted with almost everything required. The motorhome itself was well used and requires some maintenance. All appliances worked, but I did not use the awning due to previous damage and some of the outside heater covers need replacing. If this damage gets repaired the motorhome will be fine for a weekend trip away.
