Having lived in Canmore for nearly 30 years, we've spent countless days exploring the area's hidden gems, scenic drives, hiking trails, and camping spots. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, we're happy to share local knowledge and personalized recommendations to help you make the most of your trip. The Ekko is the perfect balance between a camper van and a larger motorhome. Its all-wheel drive gives you confidence on mountain roads, while its compact size makes it much easier to drive and park than a traditional RV. At the same time, you'll enjoy all the comforts you need for a memorable adventure. It's exceptionally well equipped for off-grid camping, with a large lithium battery system, rooftop solar panels, generous fresh water capacity, and efficient heating, allowing you to stay comfortably off the beaten path without sacrificing convenience. The heated rear gear garage offers plenty of space for bikes, skis, hiking equipment, and other adventure gear. Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals, a comfortable lounge that converts into sleeping space, a spacious wet bath with shower, efficient climate control, and thoughtful storage throughout. We've stocked the Ekko with the little extras that make travelling easier, so you can focus on enjoying your vacation rather than packing every last detail. We've equipped and maintained the Ekko the way we'd want to rent one ourselves—with quality gear, thoughtful extras, and everything ready for a hassle-free adventure. Our home is located in Canmore, just an easy shuttle ride from Calgary International Airport, making it simple to begin your Rockies adventure without needing to rent an additional vehicle. If you have questions while planning your trip, we're always happy to help with route ideas, campground suggestions, seasonal activities, wildlife viewing, or local recommendations. We love helping guests discover the Rockies beyond the typical tourist stops. For added peace of mind, we offer a Starlink satellite internet system as an optional rental accessory. Cell coverage is limited or nonexistent in many parts of the Canadian Rockies, so Starlink can help you stay connected for navigation, weather updates, trip planning, or keeping in touch with family while exploring more remote areas. For security, the vehicle is equipped with a GPS tracking system. It is used solely for theft protection and to help recover the vehicle if necessary. Please note that the Ekko is not permitted to travel into the United States. A geofence alert is set at the Canada–U.S. border to help ensure this requirement is met.
