We had an awesome 8 days on the island with David’s camper van. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking to explore the island without being tied to one city. Thanks again David!
I had a very good time camping on Vancouver Island with this camper van. It is sturdy and reliable even if a bit up in the years and not fully automatic in the way the various things work- like water, hot water heater, stove, or 'toilet'. The mattress is great and has a sweet sky-light for star viewing at night. Enough storage and a good fridge. It's quite high up- the steps to get into to the van and into the bed- a step stool for those of us not above average height would be useful.
I used my own campstove at the campsites and the picnic tables there as there's not really a table to sit at in the van.
The host answered quickly when I needed help with a couple of questions - which was commendable.
There is so much to do on Vancouver Island, the Qualicum Parksville area - and the camper was great for travelling from campsites into town and around without any trouble. It's tall and long but the width is that of a regular truck or van - so I found it easy to handle.
A sturdy, reliable camper that meets the basic requirements. Ask the host for more specific instructions on how to set it up and you'll be good to go!
My wife and I enjoyed the beautiful weather and conditions of Caycuse, Cowichan Lake. The RV was ideal for our journey, but the heat was at times unbearable. Thank you for the opportunity and experience.
