Recent Stuttgart RV rental reviews

2021 Entegra Coach Class C
Shannon was very easy to deal with. He was very easy to communicate with, very cooperative and helpful, even to tne degree of having to come to the rv and help with getting the bed to extend. The area that need some attention was the rv was just returned from a prior rental and the owner was not able to service the unit. It was not clean and the prior renter returned the unit needing some attention as a result I am requesting a return of the cleaning fee in addition to my Deposit of $1000.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Stuttgart, AR

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Stuttgart, AR?

Good news: RV rental in Stuttgart is one of the more affordable ways to experience the Grand Prairie. On RVezy, travel trailers typically start around $90 to $160 per night, Class C motorhomes run roughly $175 to $275 per night, and larger Class A rigs generally start around $250 and up. Local campgrounds add about $20 to $40 per night, so a long weekend Stuttgart RV trip can come in well under a hunting lodge package. To find a cheap RV rental in Stuttgart, travel mid-week, book outside duck season (mid-November through late January), and use the RVezy price filter. Pro tip: bundling delivery with a longer stay often unlocks weekly discounts from hosts.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Stuttgart, AR?

Good news for first-timers: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Stuttgart. Arkansas does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special RV endorsement for personal motorhomes or travel trailers, even larger Class A rigs. To book on RVezy you'll need to be an approved driver (generally 25+), and ID verification happens right through the platform, so there's no extra paperwork at pickup. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Bring your home country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP). That's it: pick your rig, get verified, and you're ready for the Duck Capital.

Is my RV rental protected if something goes wrong?

Yes, and this is one of the best reasons to book an RV rental in Stuttgart through RVezy. Every booking includes an RVezy renter protection plan that covers damage to the RV, plus 24/7 roadside assistance at no extra cost. At checkout you choose the protection level that fits your trip, so you control the coverage rather than the host. While this isn't traditional auto insurance, it provides real financial peace of mind whether you're parked at Bayou Meto Wildlife Management Area or driving back to Little Rock. Pro tip: if you're heading to a remote duck-hunting access point, consider a higher protection tier for extra confidence.

What happens if I need to cancel my Stuttgart RV rental?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not individual hosts), and every reservation includes a money-back grace period right after you book. That means you can lock in dates for duck season, the Wings Over the Prairie Festival, or a summer rice-country road trip with confidence. If plans change later, refund amounts depend on how far out from your trip you cancel, with exceptions for situations like natural disasters or major travel disruptions. Full details are on RVezy's cancellation policy page, and support is available if you need help. Pro tip: book early to lock in the best Stuttgart rigs, knowing flexibility is built in.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Stuttgart, AR?

Yes, and Stuttgart is a great dog-friendly destination, especially if your pup loves the outdoors. Many hosts offer pet-friendly RV rental in Stuttgart options; just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy to see rigs that welcome four-legged travelers. Once you're here, leashed pets are welcome on trails at nearby White River National Wildlife Refuge and at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds like Pendleton Bend and Merrisach Lake. Hunting dogs are practically local celebrities during waterfowl season. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm any pet fees (often $25 to $75 per trip) and to share your dog's size, especially if you're traveling with a Lab or Chessie that's been in the marsh.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite or hunting lodge?

Yes, and RV delivery in Stuttgart is one of the smartest moves for first-time renters. Many RVezy hosts will drive the rig to your chosen campground, hunting club, or private driveway, level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before they leave. Popular drop-off spots include Open Season RV Park right in Stuttgart, Pendleton Bend Park on the Arkansas River, and lodges near Bayou Meto WMA. Delivery fees are usually based on mileage from the host's location, often $2 to $4 per mile round-trip. Pro tip: filter listings by Delivery on RVezy, then ask the host about a setup-only package so you can focus on duck calls instead of dump valves.

How far can I drive, and what are popular road trips from Stuttgart?

You've got tons of range, and Stuttgart is perfectly positioned for a classic Arkansas RV road trip. Most RVezy hosts include a daily mileage allowance (often 100 to 150 miles per day) with additional miles around $0.35 each, and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, just filter for it. Popular routes from Stuttgart include Little Rock (about 55 miles west, 1 hour), Memphis, TN (about 110 miles east, 2 hours), Hot Springs National Park (about 110 miles southwest, 2 hours), Petit Jean State Park (about 110 miles northwest, 2 hours), and the Ouachita National Forest (about 150 miles west). Pro tip: estimate your total mileage before booking and ask the host to bundle extra miles upfront, which is almost always cheaper than the per-mile overage rate.

Where are the best campgrounds near Stuttgart, AR?

You've got great options within an hour of town. Open Season RV Park sits right in Stuttgart behind Open Season Sports Bar & Grill, with full hookups, laundry, and a fishing pond, ideal if you want to stay close to Mack's Prairie Wings. Pendleton Bend Park (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) on the Arkansas River offers shaded sites, a boat ramp, and trophy catfish about an hour south. Merrisach Lake Campground near Tichnor is a peaceful Corps park with excellent bass fishing. For a state park feel, Cane Creek State Park (about an hour southeast) has paved sites and a beautiful lake. Pro tip: Corps of Engineers sites book through Recreation.gov and often have the cleanest bathhouses around.

When is the best time to visit Stuttgart, AR in an RV?

Stuttgart shines in two very different seasons, so pick your adventure. For mild weather and easy RV camping Stuttgart, target April through mid-June (highs 70 to 85 F) or September through early November (highs 65 to 80 F), when humidity drops and the rice fields turn gold. For the bucket-list experience, time your visit to duck season (mid-November through late January) and the Wings Over the Prairie Festival on Thanksgiving weekend, home of the World's Championship Duck Calling Contest. Summers are hot and humid (90s F with high dew points), and winters are chilly but rarely brutal (30s to 50s F). Pro tip: festival weekend books out months in advance, so reserve your RV by August at the latest.

I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay in Stuttgart?

You'll be just fine, and Stuttgart is actually one of the friendliest places in Arkansas to learn. Flat terrain, wide rural highways like U.S. 79 and U.S. 165, and very little traffic outside of festival weekend make this perfect for first time renting an RV. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering driving, hookups, dumping, and the propane system, and you can text or call them during your trip. If city driving makes you nervous, choose delivery so the RV is already parked and leveled when you arrive. Pro tip: practice a few backing maneuvers in the spacious lot at the Grand Prairie Center before you head out to your campground.

What if I have a flat tire or breakdown during my Stuttgart RV trip?

You're never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so one call gets you a tow, tire change, jump start, lockout help, or fuel delivery, even if you're parked along the Arkansas River or on a county road near Bayou Meto WMA. Your host is also a quick text away for questions about the rig's quirks. For non-emergency repairs in town, Stuttgart has auto and RV service shops along East Michigan Street and U.S. 165. Pro tip: snap photos of the tires and exterior at pickup so any roadside issue is documented cleanly from the start.

Can I take my Stuttgart RV rental across state lines or into Canada or Mexico?

Yes, U.S. interstate travel is welcome on most rentals, which makes an RV road trip from Stuttgart easy. Popular cross-state routes head to Memphis, TN (about 2 hours east), New Orleans, LA (about 7 hours south), and Branson, MO (about 4.5 hours north). Travel into Canada may be allowed with advance host approval and updated documentation, so message the host before booking if that's your plan. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and protection coverage do not extend there. Pro tip: if a multi-state loop is your goal, mention it in your booking request so the host can pre-approve mileage upfront.

What kind of fuel mileage should I expect, and how much will gas cost?

Budgeting fuel for an Arkansas trip is easy because Stuttgart sits on flat Delta terrain, so you'll get the upper end of normal RV mileage. Travel trailers don't burn extra fuel themselves but drop your tow vehicle to roughly 10 to 14 miles per gallon (MPG). Class B campervans average 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes 8 to 12 MPG, and Class A rigs 6 to 10 MPG. Arkansas gas prices typically run below the national average, and stations along U.S. 79, U.S. 165, and I-40 (about 25 miles north in Brinkley) are easy to navigate with a big rig. Pro tip: fill up in Stuttgart or Brinkley before heading toward Bayou Meto, because rural stations get sparse fast.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Stuttgart?

For most of the year, two to four weeks ahead is plenty, but duck season and Wings Over the Prairie weekend (late November) are a different story, those book up six months out or more. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers parks like Pendleton Bend and Merrisach Lake reserve through Recreation.gov up to six months in advance, and Arkansas State Parks like Cane Creek book through ArkansasStateParks.com on a 13-month rolling window. Private parks like Open Season RV Park take reservations directly. Pro tip: if you strike out at the Corps parks, set a Recreation.gov alert; cancellations pop up daily, especially within two weeks of arrival.
recreation.gov/

What are driving conditions like around Stuttgart?

Driving here is refreshingly easy. The Grand Prairie around Stuttgart is famously flat, with long straight stretches of U.S. 79 and U.S. 165, almost no mountain grades, and light traffic outside of festival weekend. Watch for farm equipment in spring and fall (combines on rice and soybean fields move slow but legally), occasional fog over flooded fields in winter, and crossing deer at dawn and dusk. Bridge clearances on the main highways comfortably accommodate Class A motorhomes. Pro tip: avoid the narrow gravel levee roads near Bayou Meto WMA in a big rig; if you want to scout duck spots, take a tow car or have a delivery host place the RV at the nearest campground first.
ardot.gov/travel-information/

What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Stuttgart?

You'll have everything you need for comfortable RV camping Stuttgart-style. Open Season RV Park offers full hookups (water, sewer, 30/50 amp electric), laundry, and clean bathhouses. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers parks like Pendleton Bend and Merrisach Lake typically have water and electric at the site plus a central dump station, and they're known for spotless restrooms and shaded pads. Cane Creek State Park has full-hookup sites and a marina. Potable water fills are available at every developed campground in the area, and dump stations are usually free for registered campers. Pro tip: many Corps sites do not have sewer at the pad, so plan a mid-trip dump if you're staying longer than four days.
recreation.gov/camping/gateways/2991

What's inside a typical Stuttgart RV rental?

You'll feel right at home. Most RVezy rigs in Stuttgart come fully equipped with a queen or king bed, plus convertible dinettes and bunks sleeping 4 to 8, a kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and cookware, a wet or dry bathroom with hot shower and toilet, air conditioning, propane heat, and seatbelted travel seats. Many motorhome rental Stuttgart options also include a generator, outdoor speakers, a flat-screen TV, and a Wi-Fi hotspot (sometimes for an add-on fee). Linens and kitchen kits are often bundled in. Pro tip: if you're planning to dry-camp near a hunting lease, choose a rig with a generator or solar package so you can run the furnace overnight in November without shore power.

What add-ons can I get with my campervan rental Stuttgart booking?

Hosts offer lots of useful extras to make your trip smoother. Common add-ons on a campervan rental Stuttgart or motorhome booking include linen and towel packages ($25 to $75), camp chairs and outdoor tables ($15 to $30), generators for off-grid use ($25 to $50/day), portable Wi-Fi hotspots ($10 to $20/day), bike racks, and even pre-stocked kitchen kits. Many hosts also offer dump and refill service at return for around $50, which is gold if you've never emptied tanks before. Pickup is usually at the host's location in or near Stuttgart, with most rentals running on a Friday-to-Sunday or 3-night minimum during duck season. Pro tip: bundle add-ons in your initial booking request, most hosts offer a small discount when you do.

How do payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is simple and fully handled through the RVezy platform, no cash, no third-party apps, no awkward exchanges with the host. You pay with a credit or debit card when you book (often a deposit upfront with the balance due before pickup), and your funds are protected until the trip starts. The host places a refundable security deposit hold separately from your booking payment, typically a few days before pickup, and it's released after a clean return with no damage or extra mileage charges. Pro tip: take a quick walkaround video at pickup and dropoff, it's the fastest way to confirm condition and get your deposit back without any back-and-forth.

Is a family RV trip Stuttgart a good idea outside of duck season?

Absolutely, and a lot of visitors miss out by only thinking about waterfowl. A family RV trip Stuttgart in spring or fall puts you minutes from the Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie, fishing and boating at Pendleton Bend on the Arkansas River, birding at White River National Wildlife Refuge (165,000 acres of bottomland forest), and easy day trips to Little Rock's Clinton Presidential Center (about an hour west). Kids love the playgrounds at the Corps of Engineers campgrounds, and the flat farm roads are perfect for bike rides. Pro tip: late April brings rice planting and migrating songbirds, while October offers harvest scenery and cooler campfire nights, both magic for families.
