2026 Grand Design Travel Trailer
This was an entirely new experience for us and we could not be happier with the service and the beautiful travel trailer. Cheryl communicated beforehand so we knew exactly what to expect. They set it up quickly and explained everything these old first timers needed to know to enjoy our time. The trailer is spacious, comfortable and immaculate, it is well equipped with everything we needed. Everything worked perfectly. We spent each evening in the heated massaging recliner chairs to relax before crawling into the comfortable bed. The three couples we were with were envious of how nice our unit was. We may be ‘fighting’ with two of those couples to see who gets it next time. I would rate our experience a 10. Would recommend Chrryl without any hesitation

The RV was in good condition and clean. I was pleased with the owners attitude and would be willing to rent from him again for that area of the country. I returned the RV early due to weather conditions, not directly relating to any problems with the RV. I did discuss with the owner some minor issues that I'm sure he will look into before future rentals.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Farmington, AR

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Farmington, AR?

An RV rental in Farmington is one of the most affordable ways to explore Northwest Arkansas. Travel trailers typically run $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes range from $150 to $250 per night, and larger Class A motorhomes start around $250. Pricing depends on the RV's age, size, and season, with the highest demand around Razorback football weekends in nearby Fayetteville and peak fall foliage in October. To find a cheap RV rental in Farmington, book midweek, travel in early spring or late fall, and use the price filter to sort listings from lowest to highest. Pro tip: Many Farmington hosts offer weekly discounts of 10 to 20 percent, so message them directly if you're planning a longer stay.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Farmington, Arkansas?

A regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Farmington for nearly every rig on RVezy. Arkansas only requires a commercial license for motorhomes with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 pounds, and the vast majority of Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes, travel trailers, and fifth wheels listed in Farmington fall well under that limit. You'll need to be 25 or older with a valid driver's license, and RVezy verifies your ID through the platform during booking. Visiting from outside the US? Bring an International Driving Permit from your home country's auto club before your trip and you're set for your Farmington RV trip.

What protection is included when I rent an RV in Farmington?

You can book with peace of mind because every RV rental in Farmington comes with an RVezy renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance included. The protection plan covers most damages to the vehicle during your trip, and you choose your coverage level during checkout, not the host. If something happens on the road, whether it's a flat tire on Interstate 49 heading to Devil's Den State Park or a dead battery at a Fayetteville tailgate, one call gets help dispatched anywhere in Arkansas. Coverage details, including liability limits and deductibles by plan tier, are outlined on the RVezy protection page so you can pick the right level for your trip.

What if I need to cancel my Farmington RV booking?

Booking is low-risk because RVezy sets a clear cancellation policy on every reservation, not the individual host. There's a money-back grace period right after you book, and the refund structure after that depends on how far out your trip is and whether unusual circumstances affect your plans. Northwest Arkansas does see occasional tornado watches in spring and ice storms in January, so this flexibility matters here. To see the exact terms that apply to your dates, review the cancellation details during checkout or visit the RVezy Help Center. Pro tip: Lock in your dates early for Razorback home games and fall color weekends, then adjust if plans change.

Many charge a small pet fee of $25 to $75 per trip to cover extra cleaning. Once you're on the road, Arkansas State Parks including Devil's Den and Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area allow leashed pets at all campsites, and Fayetteville's Kessler Mountain Regional Park has dog-friendly hiking about 15 minutes from Farmington. Can the RV be delivered to my campground in Farmington?

Yes, RV delivery in Farmington is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-time renters. Many local hosts will drive the RV to your destination, level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before they leave. Common delivery spots include Devil's Den State Park (about 25 miles south), Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area near Rogers, Lake Wedington Recreation Area west of Fayetteville, and private RV parks in the Fayetteville and Farmington area. Delivery fees are typically based on round-trip mileage. Use the Delivery filter when browsing listings to see hosts who offer this service, then message them with your campsite details for an exact quote.

How far can I drive on a Farmington RV trip and what are the mileage rules?

You've got plenty of road ahead. Most Farmington hosts include 100 to 150 free miles per night, and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, which is ideal if you're planning a bigger loop. Extra miles typically cost $0.30 to $0.45 each. From Farmington, popular drives include Devil's Den State Park (about 25 miles), Bentonville and Crystal Bridges Museum (about 35 miles), Eureka Springs (about 60 miles), Branson, MO (about 110 miles), Tulsa, OK (about 115 miles), and Hot Springs National Park (about 200 miles). To compare, sort listings by mileage policy and message hosts directly. Pro tip: If you're doing the full Ozarks loop, look specifically for unlimited mileage listings to skip the math.

Where are the best campgrounds near Farmington, AR?

You'll have your pick of beautiful spots for RV camping near Farmington. Top picks include Devil's Den State Park in West Fork, tucked into the Lee Creek Valley with Civilian Conservation Corps history; Lake Wedington Recreation Area west of Fayetteville with shaded lakeside sites; Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area near Rogers on Beaver Lake; and Prairie Creek Park, a US Army Corps of Engineers campground on Beaver Lake. Reserve Arkansas State Parks campsites through the official state parks reservation system, and book Corps of Engineers sites through Recreation.gov. Pro tip: Devil's Den fills fast on weekends, so reserve as early as your dates allow.

When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Farmington?

Northwest Arkansas is a true four-season destination, and the sweet spots are April through early June and mid-September through early November. Spring brings dogwoods, redbuds, and average highs in the 60s and 70s, while fall delivers Ozark color and crisp 60 to 75 degree days. Summer (June through August) is hot and humid with highs near 90 degrees, so look for an RV with strong air conditioning. Winters are chilly with January averages around a 44 degree high and 28 degree low, plus occasional ice. Pro tip: Book your Farmington RV trip during the peak fall foliage window in mid-October for unbeatable scenery, but reserve campsites early since Devil's Den fills fast.

I've never rented an RV before. What should I expect at pickup?

Welcome to the club. Most first-time renters work with a host who genuinely wants the trip to go smoothly. Your Farmington host will give you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering driving basics, propane, slide-outs, the water system, the holding tanks, and how to dump and refill. Expect 30 to 60 minutes of orientation and ask every question on your mind. You can also message your host before the trip through the RVezy app, and 24/7 roadside assistance is included if anything pops up on the road. For your first night, consider staying close, like Lake Wedington or a Fayetteville-area park, so you can settle into the systems before heading deeper into the Ozarks.

What happens if something breaks down during my Arkansas RV trip?

You're never on your own. Every RV rental on RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance, so a single phone call gets help dispatched anywhere in Arkansas, whether you're on Interstate 49 between Farmington and Fort Smith, winding through the curvy roads near Devil's Den, or parked at a remote site on Beaver Lake. Coverage includes flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and towing. For RV-specific systems like a stuck slide-out or a generator hiccup, message your host directly through the RVezy app since they know their rig best. Pro tip: Save the RVezy support contact and your host's number in your phone before leaving Farmington so it's all one tap away.

Can I take my Farmington RV rental across state lines or into Canada?

Yes, an RV road trip from Farmington opens up the entire central US. Interstate travel is allowed on RVezy rentals, and popular cross-state runs include Branson and the Ozarks of Missouri (about 110 miles northeast), Tulsa and Route 66 in Oklahoma (about 115 miles west), Memphis, TN (about 290 miles east), and Hot Springs National Park within Arkansas. Travel into Canada may be allowed but requires advance approval from your host because of insurance considerations, so message before booking. One firm rule: travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because protection coverage does not extend across that border.

How much should I budget for fuel on a Farmington RV trip?

Fuel is one of the easier parts to plan. Class B campervans get 18 to 22 miles per gallon (MPG), Class C motorhomes average 8 to 14 MPG, and Class A motorhomes typically run 6 to 10 MPG. Towing a travel trailer cuts your tow vehicle's MPG by 25 to 40 percent. Arkansas gas prices tend to run below the national average. For a 300-mile loop from Farmington to Devil's Den, Eureka Springs, and back in a Class C, plan on roughly $80 to $120 in fuel depending on current pump prices. Pro tip: Fill up in Farmington or Fayetteville before heading into the mountains where prices climb and stations thin out.

How far ahead should I book campgrounds near Farmington?

Plan ahead and you'll lock in the best sites. Arkansas State Parks like Devil's Den accept reservations up to 13 months in advance through the official Arkansas State Parks reservation system, and weekends from April through October book up fast, especially for Razorback football weekends and fall color in October. US Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds around Beaver Lake (Prairie Creek, Horseshoe Bend, Rocky Branch) are booked through Recreation.gov up to six months out. Private parks in the Farmington and Fayetteville area often have more last-minute availability. Pro tip: For October weekends, aim to reserve in May or June, and watch for two-night minimum weekend rules at Devil's Den.

What are the driving conditions like around Farmington?

Driving an RV around Farmington is friendly for newcomers. Interstate 49 runs right by town and is wide, modern, and easy in any motorhome. Things get more scenic, and more winding, when you head south on Highway 170 toward Devil's Den or east on Highway 23 (the Pig Trail) toward the Ozark National Forest, both have steep grades and tight curves best taken slowly. Watch for deer at dawn and dusk year-round, and in summer keep an eye on thunderstorm forecasts. Winter ice storms (typically January and February) can briefly close roads. Pro tip: For your first day, stick to the I-49 and US-71 corridor between Farmington, Fayetteville, and Bentonville to build confidence before tackling the mountain roads.

What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Farmington?

You'll find a great range of options. The best campgrounds near Farmington offer Class AAA sites with 30/50 amp electric, water, and sewer hookups, while many Arkansas State Park sites are Class B or C with electric and water only, plus a central dump station. Devil's Den State Park has hot showers, flush toilets, a seasonal pool and cafe, and a dump station. Private RV parks in the area typically offer full hookups and Wi-Fi. Most state parks and Corps of Engineers parks include free dump stations for registered campers. Pro tip: If you're heading to a primitive site, top off fresh water before leaving Farmington.

What's inside a typical RV rental in Farmington?

Comfort is built in. Most motorhome rentals in Farmington come fully equipped with a queen or king bed, convertible dinette, kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, and a bathroom with toilet and shower. Class C and Class A rigs sleep 4 to 8, while a campervan rental in Farmington (Class B) typically sleeps 2 to 4 and is easier to drive. Expect roof or dash air conditioning, propane furnace, fresh and gray water tanks, and 30 amp shore power. Many include a generator, awning, TV, and some offer Wi-Fi hotspots. Check the listing's amenities section for specifics, and message the host if you need something specific like a child car seat anchor or extra bedding.

What add-ons and pickup options are available for my Farmington rental?

You can customize your trip with helpful extras. Popular Farmington host add-ons include linen and towel packages ($25 to $50), kitchen kits with pots, pans, and dishes ($25 to $40), camping chairs and outdoor tables ($15 to $30), generators ($25 to $50 per day), bike racks, and propane fills. Pickup happens at the host's location, with delivery available from many hosts for a mileage-based fee, perfect if you want the RV waiting at Devil's Den or Beaver Lake. Mileage policies vary by listing, with most including 100 to 150 free miles per night. Pro tip: Bundle the linen kit and kitchen kit so you can roll out of Farmington with nothing to buy at the store.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and secure. You pay through the RVezy platform with a credit card during booking, with no cash exchanges with your host. A refundable security deposit is placed as a hold on your card (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV) before pickup, and it's released back after the trip assuming no damage or extra cleaning is needed. To avoid issues, take time-stamped photos and a quick video of the RV inside and out at both pickup and drop-off in Farmington, return it with the same fuel and propane levels, and dump the tanks if your rental agreement requires it. Pro tip: Confirm exact deposit and cleaning fee amounts on the listing page before you book.
