Cane Creek Lake is the centerpiece of the park and a well-known destination for largemouth bass, bream, catfish, and crappie. Anglers can launch at the park boat ramp or fish from the bank near the campground and picnic areas.
Quiet-water paddling routes wind through flooded timber and bayou coves on the lake. Kayak and canoe rentals are typically available seasonally at the visitor center area.
A multi-use trail circles portions of the lake and connects the campground with day-use areas. Hikers and mountain bikers share the route, which offers lake views and birdwatching.
A designated swim area and picnic grounds give families a place to cool off during warm months. Restrooms, tables, and parking are available near the beach.
The park sits where the Gulf Coastal Plain meets the Mississippi Delta, producing habitat for herons, egrets, waterfowl, and songbirds. Early morning along the lake shoreline is prime viewing time.
The park visitor center offers exhibits on local ecology and schedules guided hikes, lake tours, and seasonal programs led by park interpreters. It is a good first stop for trail maps and current conditions.
The lake allows motorboats and sailboats, with a public ramp and courtesy dock. Calm mornings are popular for small-craft sailing and water sports.

Cane Creek State Park, AR, United States
The park sits off Arkansas Highway 293 east of Star City, about 35 miles south of Pine Bluff, roughly 80 miles southeast of Little Rock, and about 65 miles northwest of Monroe, Louisiana. From Little Rock, drivers typically take US-65 south to Pine Bluff, then US-425 and AR-11 to Star City, a route with no mountain passes or tunnels and generally flat terrain suited to larger rigs. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent travelers is Clinton National Airport in Little Rock. Watch for narrow county roads and low-clearance railroad crossings on the final approach, and use caution on two-lane highways shared with logging trucks.
